4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, by way of trade with Saeglopur. Clear, very dark, chestnut brown. Thin, lasting, tan head. Rich, fruity chocolate. Nuts, and vanilla. This is basically a liquified, boozed up bar of Cadbury’s Fruit and Nut. Which is a very good thing. Taste is musvoado sugar sweet. Some vine fruit, woody, dryness. Hint of coffee bean bitter. Smooth, rich, way under the ABV palate. Finishes long, fruity, chocolatey bitter. Fantastic beer. Silly easy drinking. Cheers Thomas!

Two of the world’s oldest beverages join forces to conquer your palate. Victory at Sea embodies the art of masterful brewing by infusing a velvety Imperial Porter with pure vanilla flavor and specially-selected, hand roasted coffee. The addition of cold brewed coffee to the beer lends a subtle roasted flavor to this robust imperial porter, blending perfectly with rich vanilla and caramel undertones. By uniting two San Diego brewing traditions, Caffe Calabria freshly brewed coffee and Ballast Point beer, we have successfully created an artisanal masterpiece.

Pours a nice dark brown, with a tan head. Aroma of vanilla, coffee, and malts. Taste is rich and complex, with lots of wood, vanilla, and just enough coffee. This a delicious porter, thumbs way up!

Outstanding beer. Paired with ice cream. Making this a porter instead of a stout was a great idea. It was a bit thick for a porter, but just right in effect. Tasted of roasted malt, coffee and vanilla. Balance was perfect. Pairing with plain vanilla ice cream was also perfect as the creaminess of the ice cream went well with the mouthfeel and flavor of the beer.

A delicious porter, with great coffee and chocolate notes, the high abv gives a luxurious mouthfeel , but this remains very drinkable .

12oz bottle. Pours dark with a tan head. Delicious porter with a nice combination of vanilla and coffee notes. Both the vanilla and coffee flavors are clearly derived from high quality ingredients and play a central role in this one. The high alcohol does not come through in flavor or burn but I definitely felt it after taking my last sip.

Bottle from Mother Kelly’s. Great impy porter here - vanilla and coffee well integrated. Super smooth too. Roasty bitterness on the end. Alcohol? What alcohol?
