COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Two of the world’s oldest beverages join forces to conquer your palate. Victory at Sea embodies the art of masterful brewing by infusing a velvety Imperial Porter with pure vanilla flavor and specially-selected, hand roasted coffee. The addition of cold brewed coffee to the beer lends a subtle roasted flavor to this robust imperial porter, blending perfectly with rich vanilla and caramel undertones. By uniting two San Diego brewing traditions, Caffe Calabria freshly brewed coffee and Ballast Point beer, we have successfully created an artisanal masterpiece.

650mL bottle Deep near-opaque ruby body. Holds a dense tan head. Intense aroma; Tobacco, cocoa, vanilla pod, grainy malts, earthy spice, dark roast coffee bean, dark fruit undertones. Seriously dense, thick body, low carbonation. Viscous, oily, luscious. Wow, intense coffee character! Just like munching on roast coffee beans - lots of vanilla, lots of dark chocolate. Really intense, length on the finish. Lots of bitterness, drying acrid notes, Kahlua-like finish. A serious coffee hit! Decedent, thick, sensational, really!

Big aroma of coffee grounds. Body is medium full and alc is hardly noticeable. Coffee Is pronounced as is hop bitterness. Sweetness is quite low in this brew, but it is just enough malt backbone to balance the hops. Basically a easy drinking dark ale that doesn’t explode with alc. Coffee is the main theme, and it’s not as chewy, dry and acrid, or burnt as an Imperial stout.
