COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Two of the world’s oldest beverages join forces to conquer your palate. Victory at Sea embodies the art of masterful brewing by infusing a velvety Imperial Porter with pure vanilla flavor and specially-selected, hand roasted coffee. The addition of cold brewed coffee to the beer lends a subtle roasted flavor to this robust imperial porter, blending perfectly with rich vanilla and caramel undertones. By uniting two San Diego brewing traditions, Caffe Calabria freshly brewed coffee and Ballast Point beer, we have successfully created an artisanal masterpiece.

Black with a nice khaki head that fades down to a film. Strong coffee aroma with some caramel, chocolate, vanilla and booze in the background. Taste is strong espresso, chocolate, toffee, and a hint of alcohol. Silky smooth texture with alcohol warmth on the way down. Really good.

Black colour, brown head, aroma of vanilla, coffee, bitter chocolate, cocoa, nougat, and hazelnuts. Taste is medium sweet medium bitter, vanilla and coffee flavour, medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Very good for the vanilla lovers.

Excellent beer with hint of coffee and chocolate nibs. Smooth and easy. Better warmer than cold. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark pour with an average sized khaki head. Upon lifting this to my nose, the first scent I get is coffee with undertones of caramel, smoke, oak, and vanilla. Ballast Point has churned out another good beer. This works pretty well. Only complaint is the palate could be a bit smoother for my liking.

Backlog, bottle. Dark brown/black, two finger beige head, dissipates quick leaving some lacings. Aroma is coffe, chocolate, swedish julmust, malt, slight alcohol. Taste is roasted malt, coffee, vanilla, chocolate, minor bitter hoppiness in the finish. Full body, medium carbo, oily texture. Good and well balanced.

Pours jet black. Aroma is intense vanilla and coffee right of the bat, some dark roasted malt tones in the background as well, one of the best smelling beers i ever had! Taste is actually a bit overbearing on the vanilla, would have preferred more coffee and roasted malts, this was a very fresh bottle and vanilla tends to fade so this is one for the cellar indeed! Still top notch imperial porter/stout! Bottle from SB.
