COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Two of the world’s oldest beverages join forces to conquer your palate. Victory at Sea embodies the art of masterful brewing by infusing a velvety Imperial Porter with pure vanilla flavor and specially-selected, hand roasted coffee. The addition of cold brewed coffee to the beer lends a subtle roasted flavor to this robust imperial porter, blending perfectly with rich vanilla and caramel undertones. By uniting two San Diego brewing traditions, Caffe Calabria freshly brewed coffee and Ballast Point beer, we have successfully created an artisanal masterpiece.

Pours an opaque black color with a small tan head that recedes to a fine film. The aroma is big and bold with coffee, mocha, dark chocolate and ash. The flavor is much like the aroma, but with vanilla rolled in.

On tap at The Common Table. Pours black with a thick tan head. The aromas are vanilla, roasted coffee, chocolate. The mouthfeel is dry, bitter and has a heavy body with light carbonation. Lots of roasty goodness going on here! Cheers!

Black as the bottom of the sea. Split this with dad in Father's Day after a great meal. Would've gone great with a cigar but neither if us were holding. Can definitely taste the coffee and vanilla. Balanced perfectly with malt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

At Seo Carlo. Aroma was super coffee and chocolate with lovely dark roasted malts. Taste was much the same, with an amazing balance of alcohol with malted sweetness. I was very pleased with this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 ounce bottle divided up into tulip glasses. This is one of the best imperial porters I’ve had in a long time. It has a big coffee and chocolate presence that is somehow different from the type of thing you’d find in a stout. It’s sweet and toasted, as if your tasting a dark cake. Thick in body, mild carbonation, mouth coating and durable in flavor and very approachable. They do a really good job masking the 10% abv. At $7.99 for a big bottle, this stuff is a steal.

Very dark, not something to start with if your not beer drinker. Aroma is good and strong. It starts with a sweet taste (vanilla) then you taste the coffee, subtle finish with what I feel is a bland after taste but enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine and Spirits - 22 oz bomber. Pours a dark as coal black with a frothy, creamy khaki colored head. Aroma has some marshmallow accents, a hint of milk chocolate, a touch of creosote, Flavor as bold and superb with some light Kahlua notes, some marshmallows, a touch of bittersweet chocolate, a touch of black topsoil. Nice thick, slightly chalky mouthfeel. Excellent porter.

Pours black with a small mocha head. Smells of dark chocolate, earthy coffee, and vanilla. Tastes dark chocolate and coffee up front, the vanilla comes through on the finish. As you drink more, the smooth vanilla comes through even more. Great beer

Plummy bouquet, which is weird. Doesn’t taste plummy, which is less weird. Tasty vanilla and smoky coffee notes. Full mouth feel. Overall good experience.
