Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. 12 IBU. Pours dishwater gold with a creamy white head. Real firm chili aroma. Think sliced serrano. Med minus body. Flavor is mostly chili. Med hot with a lime hint. Chili builds and burns. Nice change of pace. If rating several, make this the last one!

Draft @ Sunset Grill and Tap. Very creative here. Standard pint shows a nearly clear gold with ample carbonation. Nose is lime, wheat and a light pepper. Taste is subtle pepper until about the 4th or 5th sip. Then comes the heat. They truly used chili peppers, to the pointy lips started to sting. Damn, it’s got some kick! Not for the light hearted. Lime and wheat help the balance but it has a strong kick in the back end. Whoa! A bit so much that I had to pass my brew my buddy that finished about half my glass. Intense.

Tap @ Toronado San Diego... Poured hazy, pale yellow with a very thin head. This hit the spot as for a pepper spiced beer. Lots of pepper flavor with balancing citrus and spices. Warming pepper spice coming through more and more with each sip. Some malt sweetness and wheated tones for balance. But this was a beast of a pepper beer.

Pint at Tylers Apex. Good aroma, sweet. Heat in the scent. Stronger on the chili scent, not as much ginger. Pale golden yellow color, ok head and lace. Sweet hot flavor. Light body, smooth mouthfeel. Hot finish. Tasty , rephreshing with heat. Could use this in the warmer months.

UPDATED: APR 22, 2013 Not a bad beer very weird and spicy unique, however hints of lime are a good balance.

A hazed blonde wit with a thin white head. In aroma, nice smooth hopped wit with ginger, nice. In mouth, a light watery wit with faint ginger, so-so. On tap at Iron Monkey, Dec. 31 2012.

On tap. Pours with a hazed golden-yellow hued body with a white head. Aromas are floral, flagrant, citrusy, spicy, ginger, phenolic, grainy and black pepper. Flavors are ginger and ginger burn, light lime, grainy/bready wheat, peppery burn. Completely dominated by spice, but not that bad tasting. Lively bubbles, dry and spicy finish.

I usually don’t like these types of things, but this one was different. POured a cloudy golden color with a white head. Aroma was of lots of lime, light yeast and wheat notes, and mild chili/pepper character. Flavor was very balanced, with very light heat, nice spritzy character from the lime and what seems to be chamomile with being zesty and refreshing. Me like.
