A fresh, unfiltered brew perfect for lazy summer days. Our Wahoo White is brewed with unfiltered, un-malted wheat and oats that give it a distinctive cloudy complexity. True to the Belgian tradition, this Witbier boasts a refreshing, citrusy flavor thanks to the orange peel and coriander we add to the boil. This makes Wahoo an ideal beer for year-round beach weather.

650ml bottle from Bev4less. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a medium white head. The aroma was bready and yeasty, with just a touch of esters. The flavor was more bready than anything else, banana and other wheat flavors were secondary. The mouthfeel was full and malty. The finish was long with lingering biscuit and a touch of citrus. Overall: A very refreshing and drinkable wheat beer. Recommended.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a lightly hazy straw gold, with a small white head. Smells of light bubblegum and banana wheat characters. Mild citrus presence. The flavor was also more on the banana and wheat flavors side, with not much of a citrus balance here. Just an average American version of a Belgian style. Not too bad, and certainly drinkable, but similar to many others Ive had in this style.

Draft… RBSG ‘08… Hazy, straw-colored ale with a small, creamy, white head. The nose is subtle, but displays spicy and grainy notes with a suggestion of citrus. Light-bodied and watery with tingly carbonation. Mostly nondescript flavor. Thin, watery finish.

On tap @ brewery, RBSG. Light murky straw color with a thin, short-lived off-white head. Lots of orange peel and chalky grain, hint of yeast on the nose. Slightly fruity sweetness, some spice, light grassy finish.

It looks like I got a much better bottle of this that most. Pours hazy light yellow with a smallish white head. The aroma has richness or wheat, dry orange / lemon zest with a hint of coriander. Medium body that is smoother than most wits with carbonation that has sharp and soft traits ~ it’s prickly, but gentle and spreads the flavor well. The flavor starts with wheat and light spice from the coriander along with some phenolic spice and citrus. The finish has a bit more spice and citrus. A good wit.

RBSG 2008, on tap at the brewery. Hazy gold body with a thin white head. Citrus floral nose, soft clove in the spiciness and coriander. Moderate wheat flavor to the body, with a crisp dry finish.

On tap at the brewery during RBSG 08. Cloudy yellow-gold. Big coriander and orange aroma. Taste is sweet and clean, of wheat and coriander. Light lingering crispness. Very refreshing and drinkable.

Hazy pale golden pour with a foamy white head that lasted throughout. Light aroma of exactly what should be there, wheat, yeast, spice and citrus. Flavor follows the same pattern. Not a bad Wit, just a bit boring.

From tap at the brewery. Pours hazy and pale yellow with a lacing white head. Aroma is spiced and wheaty. Dry and mild spiced wheaty base flavour. Light estery and banana flavoured. Classic and authentic wheat.

On tap at Ballast Point. Poured hazy paler golden with a short cap of white head. The aroma picked up drier toasted wheat and a touch of wet grass.. not a lot going on. The flavor found toasty with dry grassy bitterness at the edges.. dry finish picked up a little orange zest. Dry and light-bodied on the palate.. a bit too grainy.
