COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A fresh, unfiltered brew perfect for lazy summer days. Our Wahoo White is brewed with unfiltered, un-malted wheat and oats that give it a distinctive cloudy complexity. True to the Belgian tradition, this Witbier boasts a refreshing, citrusy flavor thanks to the orange peel and coriander we add to the boil. This makes Wahoo an ideal beer for year-round beach weather.

Draft - notes from early Dec 05 tasting. Buttery yellow and cloudy with a decent head. Lemon yeasty aroma with a touch of funk. Citrusy lemon wheat flavors with plenty of yeast, some corriander and spice, and a bit more funk. Light tart and crisp.

Draft. Opaque yellow white with a large fluffy white head. Very estery aroma, clove and earthen spices with a slight lemon tinge. Wheaten and subdued American wheat style malt flavors. Mild coriander and orange spiciness. Residual spiciness in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium and rather smooth.

On tap at the brewery. Tasted during trip to California. Unclear golden colour, with a weak head. Taste more than a American wheat than a Belgian. Very common in taste an aroma. Overall nothing speciel at all.

Draft at The Turquoise. This was quite a let down. First I had to fish out the lemon. My fault, I should have been paying attention. The aromas were a little lemony, but mostly it was a smell I did not recognize, maybe some sort of yeasty wheat? I just don’t know, followed by a similar taste with a sour aftertaste. Definitely at the bottom of MY Ballast Point list.

All I really have to say about this beer is that it tastes exactly like a worthers original, only with booze added. better then a bud, but nothing really worthwhile.

this has that slightly sour Belgian flavor that most American Belgian Wits do not have, excellent, very fresh on draft at the brewery

On tap at the Yard House in San Diego. Cloudy pale yellow. Thin white head. Looks like a shanty. Esters in this smell like butt. Heavy yeast aroma. Sweet, but no tartness. Slightly grainy during mid taste.
