3.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Aroma of coriander, orange, and wheat. Pours a hazy yellow with a large foamy mostly diminishing white head. The taste is similar to the nose. Shades of orange, coriander, and of course, wheat. Medium body and soft carbonation. Overall, a refreshing change from a standard Hefewiezen. Would drink again.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
gives equal impression of hefeweizen and wit as the citrus and coriander are very mellow and slightly overpowered by what seems like a hefe yeast in all it’s banana-clovey glory, not bad.

Tap pint at Caliente in Pittsburgh. Dry, tart and very unfiltered. My wife loved it but I thought it was just okay. Plenty of better options in this category out there.

Light and refreshing, but that is about it. Very drinkable, but not my style.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appears typical to style with a temporary coarse white head that lasted as long as it took to type this sentence. Now it has gone. Aromas of cloves predominant and then ripe lemon next. The beer is mellow and easy drinking, beginning with at clove being nice and easy and slowly getting more challenging. Zesty lemon develops and each sip demands another. A juicy, typical Wit.

Ballast Point Wahoo White is my favorite witbier and the best beer I have had from Ballast Point (I have said this once before, but since then I got my hands on this gem). This is my first max score of 5 and it is an impressive beer if you are a fan of witbier.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Five Points Bottle Shop (Atlanta Highway). Nose of orange peel zest, coriander, and light yeast. Hazy pale straw color. Light citrusy initial, some spice, and a touch of light bittering. Thin body. Okay. Not a great one, and somewhat disappointing, given the general high quality that comes from Ballast Point.

Found on Topsail Island, NC. Pours a golden orange with a thin lacey white head. Has an aroma of orange peel and coriander. Tastes more like a classic wheat, flavors of banana and bubble gum. Very refreshing on a hot October day!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This is a nice light Belgian style, not sure I’d call it a wit. It is slightly hazed orange in color and unfortunately headless. It’s nose is a bit of pithy citrus rind, bread yeast and a bit of spice. A slight tartness once this is tasted really helps brighten it up. It is slightly sweet but still drinkable. Finishes w/ a touch of citrus zest which lingers on the tongue. This is a nice, easy drinking beer and flavorful enough to be interesting. I like it.
