dkachur (723), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jun 15, 2008 Bottle from Whole Foods in Charlottesville. Tangerine colored pour with a medium head. Aroma of yeast, citrus and a little bit of spice. Taste is wheat with a little bit of spices. Dry taste. Much too thin bodied.
hopscotch (4433), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Aug 18, 2008 Draft… RBSG ‘08… Hazy, straw-colored ale with a small, creamy, white head. The nose is subtle, but displays spicy and grainy notes with a suggestion of citrus. Light-bodied and watery with tingly carbonation. Mostly nondescript flavor. Thin, watery finish. JMFG (1086), Florida, USA Aug 17, 2008 On tap @ brewery, RBSG. Light murky straw color with a thin, short-lived off-white head. Lots of orange peel and chalky grain, hint of yeast on the nose. Slightly fruity sweetness, some spice, light grassy finish. vyvvy (1607), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Aug 15, 2008 It looks like I got a much better bottle of this that most. Pours hazy light yellow with a smallish white head. The aroma has richness or wheat, dry orange / lemon zest with a hint of coriander. Medium body that is smoother than most wits with carbonation that has sharp and soft traits ~ it’s prickly, but gentle and spreads the flavor well. The flavor starts with wheat and light spice from the coriander along with some phenolic spice and citrus. The finish has a bit more spice and citrus. A good wit. DA (2376), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Aug 13, 2008 RBSG 2008, on tap at the brewery. Hazy gold body with a thin white head. Citrus floral nose, soft clove in the spiciness and coriander. Moderate wheat flavor to the body, with a crisp dry finish. dalekliz (151), San Diego, California, USA Aug 10, 2008 On tap at the brewery during RBSG 08. Cloudy yellow-gold. Big coriander and orange aroma. Taste is sweet and clean, of wheat and coriander. Light lingering crispness. Very refreshing and drinkable.
