2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 MadRobin (1061) - Silver Spring, USA - MAY 24, 2013
On tap at Gilly's Beer & Fine Wine in Rockville, MD.
Cloudy, light straw-yellow with a near-white head and good lacing.
Aroma of wheat, green apples, grain and lemon.
Taste of grain, wheat, coriander, light yeast and mild lemon. A lot of flavors are hidden in here, but unfortunately it's a case of no flavor distinguishing itself out of a bland, rather than complex, mix.
Light body medium/low carbonization.
I'm a big fan of Ballast Point, so I was disappointed to find this pale imitation of a Belgian wit. Where's the yeasty spiciness? Where's the banana? It's not that the beer tastes; it's just bland and disappointing.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 DrSilverworm (2962) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 5, 2013
22oz bottle. Date code on the bottle seems to read 08/25/2 , figure that must be a typo. It’s a freshly delivered case, and this is the first time I’ve seen this stuff in this area. Shared with friends during a game of Catan. Clear golden color. Thin, kind of bubbly white head, that soon fades. Doesn’t leave much lace, only little loose ropes. Bottom pour was much more hazy and white. Orange and coriander evident in the aroma. Some light belgian yeast character in the flavor. Medium body. lighter, more smooth carbonation. Kind of crisp, more dry finish. Light zesty sweet taste, spice. OK witbier. Not anything special.

Bottle shared by my buddy Ian, thanks man. This was a good switch up from all the stouts and barley wines we were consuming that night. Nothing really super special but a good FL beer for sure.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 neuromatt (858) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 23, 2013
On tap at the brewery in San Diego, served in a tulip. Pours hazy yellow-golden with a small white head that fades to a few bubbles and leaves trace lacing. On the nose there are big notes of coriander, citrus and Belgian yeast, along with wheat and subtle flowers. The flavour is medium-sweet with flowers, pale malts and wheat. There is a subtle hoppy bitterness that grows towards the end. The finish is medium in length and malty with subtle spice. On the palate, it is medium in body with a smooth, milky texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a decent Belgian style white, but nothing special. 2013-03-22

From bottle straw yellow fluffy white head that lingers. Smells pretty basic wheat orange and coriander. Taste similar refreshingly light. Very drinkable and only 4.99 a bomber.

Pours a translucent golden yellow from the bottle with fluffy white head and light lacing that slides down the glass. Aroma of wheat, very faint hints of spice and citrus. Taste follows, pretty much all bready wheats, slight floral notes. Meh.
