WISEGUY572 (1158), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 5, 2008 Unremarkable. Surprisingly like a lager, except that a Kolsch is pretty much indistinguishable from a lager unless you watch the yeast do their work. Looks ike a crystal clear filtered mass market lager. Nose of floral hops, taste a little too floral and a little too metallic for my taste. A little thin in the mouth. Probably a good representative of the form, even if it is not my favorite form.
nbutler11 (305), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Dec 2, 2008 Pours a dark golden color from the tap at the brewery. Notes of black pepper in the aroma with unbalanced amounts of hops and malt in the flavor. Skunky with yeast on the finish. DuffMan (2139), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Dec 1, 2008 Bright golden, moderate white head. Light floral and fruity notes play off clean grains. Palate is bready grainy pale malts with just a kiss of floral hop character. I guess I was expecting a little more. zappafan99 (351), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Nov 30, 2008 Taste 11/8 Bottle. Looks: Very clear gold with a thin white top. Aroma: Wheat and a little fruit. Taste: Malty grain. A little spice tickles the tongue. Clean and medium bodied. Nice lager/ale blend. AmEricanbrew (1137), Swamp Shreveport, Left Coast, Louisiana, USA Oct 30, 2008 Brilliant dark gold with a white head. Mild aroma is grainy malts. Medium body. Subtle flavors of lightly sweet bready and grainy malts. No real hop taste and barely bitter in the finish.
