COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A lager beer produced using pale barley malt, rice and exclusive varieties of hops which give this beer variety its inimitable aroma, very light and velvety flavor and pleasant bitterness of hops. The addition of rice provides No2 Pale with a surprisingly fresh taste and smoothness, and for these reasons it is easy to drink.
The ingredients are water, pale barley malt, select rice and hops.
Produced since 2004. 11°

Russian lager in a green bottle? Here we go again...Grainy and very skunky. My son even remarked, " I can smell it from over here". Slightly milky amber, headless. Weak, but doesn’t taste as skunky as it smells. Light sweet malt, grain, a little grass. Typical foreign lager, surprisingly clean. Pretty good for what it is, actually. I really wanted to rate this higher, but perspective is an important consideration.

Bottle: Pale golden to golden, quickly collapsing fluffy white head; mineral water, wet cardboard and some lost sweet grains in the nose; very delicate bitter-sweet flavour, watery MF; mineral-water, cardboard and a well hidden bitterness in the quick finish. Gorgeous drainpour, as brewed by the soviets themselves....

2/28/11. Bottle... drank 2-8 in order. Clear golden pour with a huge eggshell head that sticks. Sweet grainy aroma with a hint of skunk and a sweet, light malty flavor with some corniness, dry grain, and a metallic watery finish.
