COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A lager beer produced using pale barley malt, rice and exclusive varieties of hops which give this beer variety its inimitable aroma, very light and velvety flavor and pleasant bitterness of hops. The addition of rice provides No2 Pale with a surprisingly fresh taste and smoothness, and for these reasons it is easy to drink.
The ingredients are water, pale barley malt, select rice and hops.
Produced since 2004. 11°

From 500 ml bottle this looks and tastes like Bud. Clear yellow, rice nose, no head, no lacing. Mouthfeel light and flavors mild. Not a lot to get your attention here.

Bottled(500ml). -Only two numbered Baltika beers that I haven’t drinked yet were 2 and 7, and there they were in Russian store in Graz.
Pale golden coloured, small white head, dusty grssy nose. Malty, mild hoppy and bready with strong presence of rice and notes of cereals. Rather sweet finish.

MadMan (497) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - OCT 1, 2007
Bottle. Pours pale gold with small white head. Aroma is all skunk. Flavor is pretty bad as well, not in any shape for drinking. This one may never have been good, but it’s worthless now. I’m rating it because I paid for it.

UPDATED: JUN 5, 2008 Found this beauty at Knightly Spirits. Well past its prime, I decided to give it a shot (only 99 cents!). Aroma is skunky and grainy as hell. Appearance is dark golden. Fair amount of lacing in the glass. Taste is all grain. Overall, not completely awful despite being an old Russian lager that’s just been sitting around for a while. Expected worse.
