COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A lager beer produced using pale barley malt, rice and exclusive varieties of hops which give this beer variety its inimitable aroma, very light and velvety flavor and pleasant bitterness of hops. The addition of rice provides No2 Pale with a surprisingly fresh taste and smoothness, and for these reasons it is easy to drink.
The ingredients are water, pale barley malt, select rice and hops.
Produced since 2004. 11°

UPDATED: JUL 20, 2005 One whiff of this, and you’ll understand why Baltika Brewery has so many flavored versions of #2. It’s got a skunk aroma, pure and simple. Dead skunk. It pours out pale yellow with a frothy head and... wait - there’s no head! It tastes corny with some other canned vegetables with a dollop of honey and a bitter metallic aftertaste. I just realized, this is my 600th rating for 2005. What a way to exhibit my class....

Botella de 500ml. Copa Pokal. Saboreada en may´12. Sabores bastos. Algo chispeante y pesada en boca. Cuerpo ligero y carbonatación media. Una Lager industrial, ¡sin duda! 500ml bottle. Pokal glass. Enjoyed on may´12. Pale straw in color, crystal clear appearance. White, small bubbled, slowly dissipated crown. Some rings on sides. Slightly metallic to the nose, wet grass odor. Moderate maltiness, grainy, low hoppiness. Rough flavors. Slightly fizzy sensation, fat mouthfeel. Light body, medium carbonation. Industrial Lager, no doubt!

Bottle, from an ethnic food store in Scunthorpe. Pale gold, thin fizzy shortlived white head and gentle condition. Slightly honey sweet malt notes in the nose with a low floral hop aroma, quite soft and muted in the mouth with a gentle chalky mineral bitterness lifting a subdued graininess, gentle peppery hop bitterness lingers briefly in the finish.

Aroma is faint, with a bit of mild hops. It’s appearance is a golden color. It’s flavor is a nice balance between malts and mild hops.

500ml bottle, noticed it’s a couple of weeks past its best when I got home. Doubt it will matter, combined with the lovely green bottle... Anyway, pours gold with a large head. Aroma is quite grassy. Taste is sweet to start, some grass and corn on the finish. A lot better then expected.

Bottled. A golden lager with a dissipating white head. A sweet shandy like nose with a hint of vomity malt. Same sweetness in the mouth. Industrial lager notes but not altogether nasty.

Bottle from ABC Beers. Typical golden pilsner appearance. Faint aroma and flavour. Watery and uninteresting.

Test vom 27.3.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,8,8,7,9,8 - 7,80

Smells like a damp rag that urgently needs to be washed out or even thrown away... tastes slightly better than the smell. Some hints of malt.
