Braudog (3464), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Mar 17, 2006 Bottle: Dark yellow and lightly active with carbonation quietly originating mid-glass and terminating into a soft white top. Starchy aroma and a mellower-than-Heineken "green bottle" character of grassy/corny malt. Actually grew on me the more I drank. cbkschubert (1648), Rattlesnake Country, Arizona, USA Aug 18, 2007 Bottle about 4 months past its Best Before date. Pours a clear golden color with a one finger thick white head. Fine, light carbonation. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is grain, herbal hops and light skunk. I actually like it. Flavor is a mild grain and grassy hops. This beer is actually not half bad. Light to medium body. This beer is half way decent. Looking forward to try the rest (3 - 9). HermanW (515), Coevorden, Netherlands Jun 8, 2005 A simpel not good pale lager. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA Apr 19, 2006 From a 1pt. 9oz. green bottle with a gold foil wrapped neck and a best before date on the back label, 04.04.06. Made a good appearance, poured a
clear pale lager golden with a large foamy white head that settled into a thin lacing, moderate carbonation overall.
Had a clean grassy hop nose with a faint pale grainy maltiness. A smooth, lightly crisp light bodied mouth feel,
slightly above average drinkability. Grassy, mellowly bitter hoppy taste with a balancing lightly crisp crackerish
grainy maltiness and a grassy and semi-dry sweet malty finish.
Not great, not awful, just middle of the road, what you expect from Baltika, a decent, drinkable and affordable pale lager. heemer77 (3827), Savannah, Missouri, USA Dec 22, 2005 Medium gold color with a large white head. The aroma is vegatable with some carrots and grass. The taste is a little metallic with some grass and celery. The taste has some light fresh grass. Actually, this is pretty good for the style.
