2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 yngwie (10758) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 19, 2006
Bottled. Pale golden and a small white head. Aroma is quite boring, with malt, hops and grass, and the flavor isn’t much better. Some sweetness, malt, grass and light spicey hops. Thin body and some metallic notes in the finish. (060518)

bottle - Old bottle, is this still made? Pours clear, deep yellow with a thin head. It smells mildly malty, it tastes much like a typical pale lager, sweet and possibly with some corn in there. It’s inoffensive of course, and finishes with a touch of mild hops. I’ve had worse and it didn’t seem like the age was a major problem. Though given the quality of this beer, I’m not sure Hotstuff should be thanking me for sharing it, but you’re welcome anyway.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color with a white head. Little to no aroma. Taste is a clean corn and grain, refreshing.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 beisen (90) - California, USA - DEC 27, 2006
Your typical lager. I was fooled by the BevMo description. Bready aroma and palate, but otherwise ho-hum. I don’t see myself revisiting this one again.

From the green bottle pours a crystal clear golden elixir with a huge bone white head that slowly dissipates. Huge notes of skunk coming from the bottle and glass that second I pop the top open. Airing it out a bit that does somewhat subside revealing a somewhat lackluster lightly bready lightly spicy aroma. The flavor is a bit sweet up front with sugary biscuits and a hint of earthy spicy hops and a touch of wet cardboard. Medium to thin body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet watery mouthfeel. Feels like a macro lager, and aside from the fact that its from Russia, I see no reason to ever pick this up again.

Aroma is faint, with a bit of mild hops. It’s appearance is a golden color. It’s flavor is a nice balance between malts and mild hops.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 edpeg (678) - Berlin, GERMANY - SEP 3, 2012
Pours golden yellow, clear, with white big lacing head. Aroma is malts, grass, some hops.
Palate is slick, mouthful, crispy , well carbonated. Taste is thin, watery and medium to weakly hopped. There´s some amount of floral hops with medium short dry tongue feel with some sweetness. Finish is watery and mild. There was sweet aftertaste in the flavor. After reading the etiquette, it was the rice, as I assumed. Pretty tasteless and mild, an OK beer for a thirst once. Nothing going on here, though, beyond that.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Another pissy and tasteless Baltika. There is some malt and some grain in the aroma and taste, but that´s not enough to score high. An easy beer for tougher meals. Ok at all.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Ernest (5609) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 7, 2006
Bottle.
Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is clear medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (grain), trace hops (herbs, flowers), with a light note of soap.
Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly husky.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation.
Grainy and weak, but certainly not that bad.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 rauchbier (3394) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - MAY 15, 2012
Bottle, from an ethnic food store in Scunthorpe. Pale gold, thin fizzy shortlived white head and gentle condition. Slightly honey sweet malt notes in the nose with a low floral hop aroma, quite soft and muted in the mouth with a gentle chalky mineral bitterness lifting a subdued graininess, gentle peppery hop bitterness lingers briefly in the finish.
