COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A lager beer produced using pale barley malt, rice and exclusive varieties of hops which give this beer variety its inimitable aroma, very light and velvety flavor and pleasant bitterness of hops. The addition of rice provides No2 Pale with a surprisingly fresh taste and smoothness, and for these reasons it is easy to drink.
The ingredients are water, pale barley malt, select rice and hops.
Produced since 2004. 11°

Light golden color, small white head that faded quickly leaving little behind. The aroma was light malt some grain and maybe a hint of fruit but hard to say.The flavor was pretty nasty, griany and mild malt with a mild hint of hops and a slight metallic side.Pretty nasty brew and not worth diving into again.

16oz bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Pretty much your standard Pale Lager, but a bit better. Pale yellow color, fizzy white head, Corn wheat and yeast account for most of the aromas and flavors.

If value for money was a category, i would give it a higher score, it was every penny of the 69 cents for a 1 pint bottle at Pioneer Supermarket, NYC. Frothy head the fizzed up and disappered instantly with zero lacing. Sinister looking in the glass, very clear, like a urine sample with strange clouds of bubbles tyhat seemed to appear from nowhere. Flavot not so bad. Very dry, with elements of lemon, stale bread and malt. The beer equivilant of a dry mournful Russian novel. I will by again, well, at .69 why wouldn’t I?

500 mL bottle from Sam’s Quik Shop. Pours an apple juice color, clear, with a one-finger creamy head. Aroma is slight skunk, heavy grain and a sweetness I suppose comes from the rice. Very dry grassy taste. Medium bodied.

2/28/11. Bottle... drank 2-8 in order. Clear golden pour with a huge eggshell head that sticks. Sweet grainy aroma with a hint of skunk and a sweet, light malty flavor with some corniness, dry grain, and a metallic watery finish.

Not a very good aroma. Wispy and grassy. Taste is pretty thick and not very good. I prefer 5 and 7 over this guy.

Bottle: Pale golden to golden, quickly collapsing fluffy white head; mineral water, wet cardboard and some lost sweet grains in the nose; very delicate bitter-sweet flavour, watery MF; mineral-water, cardboard and a well hidden bitterness in the quick finish. Gorgeous drainpour, as brewed by the soviets themselves....
