Baltika 3 Klassicheskoe (Classic)

Golden color, moderate head, decent lacing and retention. Aroma is very grainy, with some fusel and alcohol. Lighter bodied, somewhat sweet but not nearly as pleasant as the 2.

16.9 oz. bottle from Wine Warehouse in CHarlottesville. Best before Sept. 16, 2008. Crystal clear and very pale gold color with a fizzy, quickly dissipating 2-finger head. Very grassy, somewhat grainy and slightly skunky aroma. Very grainy taste with some bitterness, sweat and green apple. Mouthfeel is a little too thick for a beer of this nature, but it does still have its refreshing qualities if you drink it quickly.

Bottle. Clear golden with medium white head. Sweet fruity with grainy and caramel notes.

pours a crystal clear pale yellow with a small white head, some lacing.
smell is of grain, hint of yeast, sour, some malt in the back.
taste is crisp, watery, grainy, sour malts, a little bitter in the end.

Very ligth amber, nice white head, weak notes of malt, grain and little fruit and citrus, sweet. Not bad for a lager, refreshing.

Bottle Cardinal, Stavanger. Pale golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, grass. Flavour is fruit, malt, grass. Nothing wrong with this beer, but very boring.

0.5l bottle. Pours a golden yellow with no head. Aroma is non-existent. Can’t smell anything at all. Palate is light, a little oily. Taste is malty and hoppy, nothing special. I actually was expecting this to be worse, so I guess it was a nice surprise. Definitely not great though.
