I tried Baltika 3 because I had some Russian friends and I wanted to taste Russian beer. I found that it wasn’t that good at all

Bottle: Couldn’t resist the ’Russian Classic Beer’ heading. Light golden color, slight typical lager bite but not too bad. Flavor was, well, nothing which is why it had to be rated poorly

Bottle @ Industry, London. Well, when forced to drink somewhere you’d rather not why not get a couple rates in, eh...Take one for the team...Was definitely the 3 as I made note but my bottle said 5.1%.You know you’re a geek when you take down those kind of details on a beer this bad, lol... Pale gold with a thin white head. Buttered popcorn, malt, grains and the slightest whiff of hops with a taste much the same. I’m beginning to think lager isn’t my thing...I might go as far as saying I’d prefer a Hoegaarden Rosée.

500ml bottle. Pale green (shut up, Anna!), no head. Unsophisticated sweet aroma, doped with some of the sweet and perfumed essences that medicines are laced with in order to make them more palatable. Quite pleasant malty immediate taste, but it fades to leave something harsh where the hops should be.

50cl bottle. Pours out a pale golden colour with a white head. Not much aroma, but a little sweet and touch of ammonia? Flavour was just thin and a hint of hops. Not great.

Thanks to ghawener. Sweet and skunky, a typical latin american pale lager. Maybe this is why russians are best known for vodka.

Bottle: Bought in Mexico. Thin, watery, slight hops. What does the 3 stand for, still have the 5, 7, 9 and 0 to go.
