beaconstreet (811), Washington DC, USA Feb 3, 2006 A good balance, fair head, fine flavor, a nice sized bottle. Slightly less than standard ABV. Good round overall at the Brickskeller, esp to start off the furious conversations of the night. willblake (2160), Belcamp, Maryland, USA Feb 1, 2006 02.01.06 16.9oz bottle. Hazed, pale straw, a few particles of something, and a lofty but quick white head. Aroma is full of cereal grains. Sweet flavor is a bit cardboardy and ends bitterly. Not very good. GRM (1235), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada Jan 29, 2006 Not much head, nor ’effervescence, straw color; nose; a bit of malt; mouth: a bit of malt, a little more carbonation, a bit sweet as a finale; definitely not a great beer but what I needed after painting TheBeerOrg (1563), Kentucky, USA Jan 22, 2006 Pours golden with a fully receding white head. Aroma of honey, toasted biscuit, and fruity esters unbefiting of a lager. Taste is sweet toasted malts and honey. Some notes of corn and DMS noted as it warms. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Too sweet and not very refreshing. bridge (659), Sydney, Australia Jan 16, 2006 Pale gold with a frothy dodgy lager head. Had that typical malty lager presence, with an offensive aroma - what I could detect anyway. The flavour is sweet, with some bitterness coming in a metallic fashion, like sucking on some copper coins. There’s a touch of carbonation, but otherwise it’s quite inert, which makes it a rather easy, but pointless, drinking beer. alebrewer (121), Mentor, Ohio, USA Jan 10, 2006 Fairly standard, tasteless pale lager. No hop or malt in aroma. Not worth seeking out. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA Dec 12, 2005 Light Yellow/Gold Coloring with White Ring. Very Subtle Overall. Some Light Malt. Pretty Carbonated. Muddled Overall. Not the Best of Baltika. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA Dec 8, 2005 Pours a nice light golden yellow. Aromas of hops, grass, and maybe some light malt. Taste is crisp with a nice mellow hop flavor. Flavor is great when you are only allowed 2 beers a week.
