Good vodka is something I’d expect from the Russians, but good beer wasn’t, until I tried this. You have to finish the whole bottle to appreciate it though, because the finish is better than the start somehow. It’s a sweetish beer, but pretty well-balanced, and light enough to be enjoyed by itself, but also the body allows for consumption with food or tobacco. It’s not the absolutely best I’ve had, but pretty good beer for sure!

No retention and no lacing. Smells of sweet bread, cereal and grain. Tastes of cereal and straw. No aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home from backlog notes 07/08. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have grainy, pale malts, corn, grass, light floral. Bland and boring minus the skunk 7 had.

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2014 Not a good beer! The chemical aftertaste makes itself felt when the beer reaches the palate. The bitterness is stale and leaves an unpleasant aftertaste.

500ml. can from Kyoto Yamaichi. Mild grainy malt nose, butter, some cardboard, and light sulphury hopping. Clear golden straw color, thin head. Mild creamy malt, gentle bittering. Thin body. Lotsa low ratings for this one over the years. It seems to have gotten better recently. Decent stufff.

From the archives: pale Russian lager. This is what everybody drinks. A mass produced beer, that suits everyone - weather you want to have a sauna beer or just something to accommodate your lunch. Not the worst out there.
