Good vodka is something I’d expect from the Russians, but good beer wasn’t, until I tried this. You have to finish the whole bottle to appreciate it though, because the finish is better than the start somehow. It’s a sweetish beer, but pretty well-balanced, and light enough to be enjoyed by itself, but also the body allows for consumption with food or tobacco. It’s not the absolutely best I’ve had, but pretty good beer for sure!

Optisch typisch Lager, ordentliche Perligkeit, relativ stabiler Schaum.

500ml can BB 10/2/17 The faint aroma was grainy with slight fruity note. Poured light golden straw with OK head which dissipated quickly. Very mild bitterness was followed by a thin watery metallic finish. Faint wet cardboard at the back. Pretty nondescript - I’ve had beers a lot worse than this one. Ticked Russia off my Country list.

Bottle @ home, from carrefour gdansk. Pours a clear yellow liquidnwith a medium white head. Aroma of sweet fat malt, grains, sulphur and corn. Sticky fruity esters (strawberries, gooseberries) and hints of yeast that should definitely not be present in a pale lager. Low to medium body with medium carbonatio. Dry, malt sweetish taste with a very short duration. Flavors of strawberries, sour gooseberry, sulphur, corn, some grass. Finish with a low metallic bitterness.

I drank this beer yesterday, during a barbecue at the lake, Saint-Sulpice. It is a basical lager, not the best but not the worst that I tried. The color is classical yellow and gold, regular carbonation, white and thin foam. The taste is malty, few hop, a bit metalic and watery, missing more hop.

50cl bb03/2017, BL3 sampler. Aroma: sweetish grains with a sourish sulphur edge, gooseberry buttermilk over cornflakes. Picks up some melissa nettle hop character over slick pale vanilla malts before swilling into oblivion. Not the worst.
