Non-descript aroma that you’d describe as lager-like. Some fruitiness to the flavor along with some malt. Medium body and finish. Easy drinking. JK (2968), Richfield, Minnesota, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 5, 2010 Sample at the "From Russia With Suds" tasting on 01/02/10: The beer is a clear yellow color with a thin white head that diminishes to a film quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of honey and malt. Light body with flavors of sweet honey, grass and malt. The finish is sweet with malt and floral notes in the aftertaste. Not a bad beer, the flavors just aren’t assertive enough in the end. Slightly below average overall. 5000 (2900), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 20, 2006 Bottle: Translucent straw, large rocky white head, spotty lacing, mild carbonation. Much like all the Baltika beers, cept the 6, that being sweet grassy nose, pale malts, a little bit of oat or hay. Taste is similar, clean, quite clean actually and much better than their american counterparts. Average body and mouthfeel, albeit a bit creamy. Hmmm, why do I like this one so? I guess cuz I expected so little but it actually gave quite a bit. Pleasing, easy to kick back, with a very slight sweet grass flavor. I could handle more of this!

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jul 24, 2009 One of the options on the Russian river boat MS Taras Shevchenko cruising down the Dnieper. I had a few 500ml bottles as a partner to lunch and dinner. Clear, light golden body with a lasting, lacing head. Mild grass-floral aroma. Perfumed taste of pale malty sweetness followed by a few hints of hops. Smooth, clean and food friendly. Reasonably alright industrial lager (Dnieper River, Ukraine, mid-July 09). | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 13, 2007 From the bottle, pours golden yellow with a tall fizzy white head. Dry grainy malt nose, strawn and light honey flavors. Hops were faint, but more present then most pale lagers. Overall a decent pale lager, good for its simplicity. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/20 | Jun 7, 2002 A rather unpleasant Russian lager that’s really not recommended. Sadly, it comes in really big bottles so you’re generally in for the ’long haul’ when you buy this brew. Odd, somewhat unpleasant taste.
