One of my favorite Baltikas. These beers have the feature of sweetness and this one, well, is less sweet than B0. It has a sweet aroma, most of all cereal. It has a good smoothness when drinking it and it has a good body with a nice blond color.

I liked this one, but I like lagers. I think that lagers generally get low ratings because people are looking for complexity etc., and lagers are not about that. Lagers are pure and clean, and thatís it. Thatís what they are supposed to be, and thatís all there is. You have to be good to know a good lager. In my opinion a true lager taster has the most refined palate of all. And this one fits the bill just fine.

Quite a reasonable lager, this makes up for my previous bad experience with Russian beer. Itís a picture-perfect gold with a nice head, and the hops come through in a rather Czech way.

Good vodka is something Iíd expect from the Russians, but good beer wasnít, until I tried this. You have to finish the whole bottle to appreciate it though, because the finish is better than the start somehow. Itís a sweetish beer, but pretty well-balanced, and light enough to be enjoyed by itself, but also the body allows for consumption with food or tobacco. Itís not the absolutely best Iíve had, but pretty good beer for sure!

This truly is a happy beer. Call me crazy, but if youíre gonna give this beer an 11%--go drink something else and send your bottles to me. A very complex, yet subtle brew, this beer is golden with a quickly dissipating white head. It has a very floral nose with a golden strawy taste, mixed with hops and malts. A very nice beer--quite quaffable. I could drink many of these and would, if they were available in Birmingham or Memphis. Great beer!

Surprisingly good! Well carbonated, no skuky scent (considering the bottleís best before date was February 2006) the bottle I drank had a smooth, dry malty taste to it. Recommended ice-cold.

Iím not much of a lager guy, but I quite fancied this. Light, sweet, zippy, appealing. After their excellent dark, that makes 2 out of 2 for Baltika in my estimation. Hail to our Russian comrades.
