dark "Baltika 4 Original" - with the addition of rye malt. I confirm that this beer! Four with caramel, bread, malt flavor and a touch of bitterness. I tried to tour the factory in Novosibirsk Baltika. Unfortunately in the shops we did not sell.

This beer is loaded with good caramel malt, light chocolate tones and a slightly roasted malt character. Its hop bitterness is not as striking, but emphasizes malt notes with a long good aftertaste. Balance is okay and it is all in all a pleasant beer to drink.

Rojiza, clara. Abundante espuma. Aroma tostado y a fruta roja. Buen tono general y equilibrio entre cuerpo y carbónico, este ultimo marcado. Agradable sabor entre malta tostada y arándanos o casi mejor pacharán. Final ligeramente amargo. La mejor de las baltikas. Buena lager en un estilo poco común.

Bottle from an East European grocers in Horfield, Bristol. Deep copper in colour, with a momentary and big, off-white, head and moderate carbonation. Sweet, toffee and red berries, with a metallic edge, some jarring rye earthiness and heavy, bready, finish with a trace of bitterness. A novel experience for this British drinker, but not a particularly positive one.
