Amber auburn color. Subtle malty bready smell. Caramel sweet and toasty character with light hoppy balance at finish. Great bargain $.79 for a 16 oz bottle.

Sep 5, 2008 Another good beer from Baltika ! Nice sweet malt, and rich taste. Great look in the glass. Very good pairing for ice cream.

Aug 26, 2008 500 ml bottle poured a clear dark amber with a small lingering light amber head. Aromas of carmel, toasted malt, light fruittiness and light molasses. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of molasses, toasted malt, cocoa and a hint of fruittiness with a smooth malty finish.
Much b etter beer than I expected!

Aug 25, 2008 Poured from bottle a brown color that shows red highlights when held to light with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is sweet roast with caramel, malt and some dark fruit like plum. Flavor has a big dose of caramel and bread. Not a whole lot of flavor but what is there is pretty good. Big malt mouthfeel for the palate and sweet but not cloying. Overall I enjoyed the beer and would drink another.

Aug 22, 2008 Bottle. Pours a ruby amber color with a large frothy light tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is caramel, dark fruits, and sweet malts. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a sweet malt and caramel. Not too much going on with this one.

Aug 17, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours golden amber with a creamy tan head, rather beautiful beer really. Mild spiced breadish and slight roasted aroma. Flavour is medium sweet, hardroasted malt and distinct breadish. Smooth breadish finish, remains dry and holds a mild bitterness in the far finish, otherwise quite malty brew.
