3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 omhper (15956) - Stockholm, - JAN 27, 2005
Bottled. Copper colour, rich, lasting head. Vague toffee aroma. Medium sweet with decently firm body and clean mouthfeel and notes of coffee. Might be the one Baltika beer I actually enjoy.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mansquito (1809) - washington, Washington DC, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Chevy Chase, DC 500ml ($2.50): Pours a light, clear brown color. Aroma is toffee, caramel malts, and a hint of lager. Taste is kind of the same. Beer is slightly sweet. It is mellow and refreshing. No offensive elements are present in this beer. This is not a very complex beer, but has enough flavour to stand up and over the macro crowd.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 kevnic2008 (1637) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - MAY 9, 2012
Dark coppery-brown, a warm color. Fizzy head disappears fast. Soft palate with lingering sweet finish. Sweet, caramel, bready malt, the flavors are friendly, simple.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 bytemesis (143) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - MAY 8, 2012
Bottle. Pours amber-orange, perhaps slightly hazy with a medium off-white head that dissipates pretty quickly with no lacing. Interesting aroma of carmel and malts, with a hay-like backing. Taste is very malty, roasted with caramel and coffee notes, definitely sweet. Lightly bitter finish. Mouthfeel is full and creamy. Not bad at all, actually, although an unpleasant aftertaste starts to build after a few sips.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 onkelgobber (81) - Edinburgh, - APR 27, 2012
Bottle. Pours dark clear caramel. Nose has a lot of sweet malt with caramel and toffee. This also goes for the taste. There are also hints of bread and rye, but not much hops. Pretty one-dimensional beer that I do not find particularly interesting!
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 22, 2012
Another Russian beer obtained on a trip to Antwerp. Best before 7th July 2010, drank 19th May 2010. The brown 500ml bottle was poured into a Westmalle Chalice and a La Chouffe tulip.
Clear red/brown colour, white head, thinning quicker than most and leaving a collar only.
Sweet molasses, toffee and caramel came to mind when smelling this beer, a litle too sweet for me.
The flavours were very close to the smells, molasses, toffee and caramel, again too sweet in my eyes.
I thought the body a bit weak and a little like a sugar water because of the sweetness encounted from the first impression the beer gave.
Didn’t really enjoy the experience, should of spend my Euro’s on a Belgian beer.
