Good looking cherry color pour. Nice solid body with quickly diminishing head. Aroma of caramel malt, with some bread. Mostly bread flavor, but too sweet and syrupy. Mouthfeel too watery. Eh, not great.

tawny amber pour, slight finger of tan head. Nose is malt and something vegetal. Middle is caramelized grain, candi sugar. Finish is a little too sweet. Where are the hops?

The beer pours a dark amber color with a lacy, thick head. The aroma is bready with a bit of funk. The taste is quite bready, with some caramel, and a bit of bite. The finish is dry and properly bittered and the body is medium towards heavy. Overall, this is a sessionable beer; warm and enjoyable.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Dark brown colour with a small tan head. Malts in the aroma are strong, with caramel and some chocolatey sweetness. Caramel, malt flavours, it’s quite sweet, maybe even some liquorice flavouring in there. Not really my thing but was fairly nice nonetheless.
April 2015.
