Good looking cherry color pour. Nice solid body with quickly diminishing head. Aroma of caramel malt, with some bread. Mostly bread flavor, but too sweet and syrupy. Mouthfeel too watery. Eh, not great.

Süßlich malziger Antrunk mit leichter Röstigkeit. Etwas zuckrig, wenig schokoladig. Die Röstigkeit bleibt hinter der Süße, was etwas aufgesetzt wirkt. Süffiges nettes Bierchen. 10/10/11/9/9/10

Bottled 25/04/13. A chestnut brown coloured beer with no head. A nice sweet malty lager. Good caramel flavours. A nice body. The sweetness works really well. Some gingerbread doughiness. Very tasty. I liked this.

16.9 fl oz / 500mL bottle into a pint glass. Served cold. Aroma: Very mild caramel, slight skunk, and malt. Appearance: Transparent copper, with a thick beige head that quickly goes away. Minimal to no lacing. Taste: Cereals and malt. Not much else. Not bad, just not great or breathtaking. Pretty average. Palate: Light body, very short, clean finish. Overall: Not a bad lager at all. I even enjoyed it! It’s just pretty average, or slightly better than average. I’d pick it over a pale blonde macrotrash lager any day, but Baltika 4 isn’t an upper-tier beer.
