Good looking cherry color pour. Nice solid body with quickly diminishing head. Aroma of caramel malt, with some bread. Mostly bread flavor, but too sweet and syrupy. Mouthfeel too watery. Eh, not great.

Copperfield. Punainen venäläinen. Aivan puolihuoleton ja hyvä olut. Perinteisen tyyppinen.

From a bottle shared at home. Pours a clear dark amber with an ecru head. Aroma of dust and malt. Flavors of butterscotch. Moderately sweet with a smooth finish.

Bottle 05L @ home; pours clear red-amber with light brown, good lacing head. Aroma is malty, caramely, toffee and floral. Taste is smooth, sweet caramel, licorice and just enough bitter to round up the palet. Medium body, medium carbonation. Overall, it’s a pleasent and drinkable, well balanced baltic bock.

Pours dark copper with little head. Has a kind of dark taste with syrup, some sweetness. Toasty malt, maybe a little too sweet for my tastes, but ok.

"a smooth, pretty tasty, kind of unassuming beer. not as good as their porter (6) but good enough to enjoy. a little lighter, and a little sweeter...

Smells like artifical additive chemicals, alcohol and soy. Dark brown with pretty foam, a lot of malt and a lot of artificial tastes.

Bottle from local Eastern European shop. Pours a rich red-amber, looks like it will have malty/Dortmunder flavours. However aroma and flavours are a little thin, not much going on. Was hoping for more maltiness & body.

Deep off-white towards tart-creamy white head. Ruby-copper-brown fine coloured body, clear. Aroma; fruity caramel malts, candied fruits, raisin, leaves, earth, dusty hops. Taste; prunes’ style caramel malts, syrupy bread, raisin, sweet dough. Lively carbonation. Sweet finish with prunes in front. Very sweet dark beer. I’d wish Vladimir were sweet as this... [50cl brown embossed special bottle, abv5.6%, BB18.01.15]
