Taste: dried fruits (prunes & dates), some caramel, overripe fruits, banana, mocha. Aftertaste: little sweet, caramel, banana, mocha, hop bitterness. Surprisingly good!
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 jesperhammer (1294) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 7, 2012
07-FEB-2012, bottle @home, from "Superbest".
Pours clear, dark brown with lasting beige head.
Nose is caramel and malty roasted chocolate with a strange - perhaps unclean note of...of...I am not sure - perhaps wet rye bread? So perhaps not unclean, anyway.
Taste is malty, coca cola, chocolate, and cinnamon. Some roast.
Turns very watery in the middle, but an OK length with roastedness. No real bitterness. OK brew.

Bottle. Redbrown beer with a milky cofee brown head. Strange aroma, bubblegum, cough drops, roasted malts, malt syrup, rye bread. Taste is medium sweet, very malty, light light hoppy. Quite long finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Foxbush (704) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JAN 21, 2012
This was tasted with friends at the Balkens Restaurant in Richmond. There was an immediate positive reaction by all beer drinkers. This porter is special. Very smooth from beginning to end. The dark beer poured black with small tan head. Soft carbonation and a medium body. As you drink you can detect some licorce and chocolate. This one is worth having more often
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 flemmingwillum (687) - Copenhagen S, DENMARK - JAN 14, 2012
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 edpeg (254) - Berlin, GERMANY - JAN 12, 2012
Got this from Russian grocery shop in Berlin. Pours almost black, very dark no light coming thru. Develops creamy thick. beige head. Aroma coffee, chocolate, roast malt, paper. Taste is sweet no too much, there some vanilla hints, probably sweet malt. Just checked the ABV: 7%... Well in that case really balanced, no alcohol after taste almost at all. The finish is sweet with glimpse of dryness in the short finish. Mostly its malty. Carbonation is crispy
