COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional dark beer based on old recipes. "Baltika" brews this beer with the best dark and light malts with the addition of superior hop types and a special strain of yeast. Crystal-clear water and the secret touch of "Baltika"'s brewers make this a beer of unsurpassable quality.
The ingredients are water, caramel malt and burnt roasted malt, maltose syrup and hops. 17°

Pours very dark red with a light head. Aroma and flavor are pretty much just roasted malts. Some black pepper in the flavor. Pretty nice.

23/12 0.5 l bottle courtesy of Marko, great thanks for sharing! It poured dark body with medium brown head. Weak, but nice coffee aroma. Roasted malt, especially coffee, raisins and other dried fruit make its flavor. Caramel and maybe some chocolate also felt. Only a little bit sweet, it’s very balanced and fine. Medium bodied beer that has nice long finish reflecting the flavor. Alcohol is very well hidden. A quality, well made (baltic) porter.

Bottle from the cool Russian store in Zagreb that supplied me with exactly the right Baltikas we missed (and some kvass!). Shared with heavy. Poured a blackish brown body with an off whtie thick head. Very light chewy malty nose, light. Sweet, raisins, roasty malty taste, balanced, dry, with a hint of alcohol. A tasty porter indeed, even if it’s not the strongest one.

Pours a dark brown color with a large foamy brown head. Smells of caramel and a bit of cardboard. Also has a very strong nutty aroma to it. Peanuts I think? Taste is of chocolate, caramel and some maple syrup. Interesting beer. Much sweeter than many porters I have had before. Not too bad though.

this $2.29 22oz brew was surprisingly decent. thin and a little low on carbonation. cola, syrup, coffee, sugar water. i’m not much of a fan of baltic porters but figured i’d waste $2 to try this one. as usual, this is a little too sweet and sugary for my tastes

A little thin for my tastes, but a great value porter overall. Light coffee flavor, heavier on chocolate. Decent roasted malt flavors with slight hops added.

Pours black with creamy tan head and foamy lacing. Notes of chocolate and coffee. Well balanced taste; bitterness of coffee contrasting nicely with the sweetness of the caramel malt to create a pleasing porter. Smooth and sessionable.
