Bottle. Pours black with a beige head. Sweet aroma with notes of roasted malts, caramel, coffee and a hint of licorice. Flavor is a little watery but has notes of roasted malt, coffee, caramel, licorice and a hint of smoke.

Baltika no. 6 Porter Beer has a pretty thick, khaki-colored head and a dark, ruby appearance with lots of lacing. The aroma, while faint, does give one a whiff of dark cherries and alcohol before it dissipates. Taste is of dark-roasted malt, dark chocolate, dark coffee, black cherries, and it has a bitter back taste and smokey after taste. Mouthfeel is medium, and Baltika no. 6 Porter Beer finishes refreshing and pleasant. Overall, this is a smooth and very nice beer. RJT
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 ken1 (146) - DENMARK - DEC 28, 2011
A slight fruity aroma. Dark redish in colour with a white head. Roasted flavours with I nice bitterness, and also a slight fruity flavour.
3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Pyobon (518) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - DEC 21, 2011
(bottle) Awesome looking beer: very dark, almost black and opaque it is dark (but not cloudy) with an excellent dense tan head. Aroma is pleasant, but not very special: toffee and raisins and something a litter sharper, slightly vinous perhaps. Medium body and carbonation and a little bit sticky. The taste has a lot going on; it is quite rich, fairly complex and changes quite quickly making it hard to pin down. Rich stronger flavours from dark malt dominate: coffee, dark chocolate, dark malt, raisins. There are also balancing flavours including caramel, liquorice and something slightly medicinal (but pleasant). There’s a nice bitter finish, more reminiscent of strong black coffee than of hops. Overall, I was very impressed, especially as I am not a great fan of porters; however this is not really what I think of as a porter.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Damico (1222) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 20, 2011
Pours black and thick with a dark chestnut hue and a nice creamy tan head. The aroma is thick maltiness, a bit sweet and a bit roasty. The flavor is very similar, with a potent malty ending that has some black licorice and almost thick liqueur type notes.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 wlajwl (1479) - Iowa, USA - DEC 18, 2011
Earthy malts and a bit of spice in aroma. The flavor is caramel and some sweetness with a lingering thick maltiness to it. Not incredible but decent all around.
4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 Malty_MacHops (85) - Eastanollee, Georgia, USA - DEC 9, 2011
Wow exceptional beer! The aroma is full of malt like roast coffee and some toast notes. The beer is an opaque black with a nice thick tan head. The flavors are smooth and roasty. The bitterness is just enough to complement the sweet flavors. The palate is smooth silky and clean. Fantastic porter.

Arguably my least favorite porter. Pours a dark, coffee brown with a reddish brown head. Taste is very subdued, hints of coffee, but bitter aftertaste. Lacks the usual robustness and complexity of other baltic porters.
