Baltika 6 Porter

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown almost black color with a small tan white head. Not a very overpowering porter, actually, rather unorthodox. Hint of yeast and very mild hint of coffee. A little more malty than I anticipated as well. Fairly smooth, but a little too flat. Expected a bit more.

decent looking beer. It has a pretty good body with the lower level of carbonation that I prefer in a dark beer. But the flavor is kind of boring and lackluster. Drinkable, but unremarkable.

Dark brown coloured beer with unusual taste. Not bad at all. Could be better though.

Bottle. Aroma is molasses and caramel. Dark brown with a tan head. Roasty sweet malt flavor with a nice smokey finish. Medium to full bodied with a mellow carbonation and a smooth mouth feel. I didn’t know what to expect with this beer but I was pleasantly surprised.

Slight off-white head. Nice black opaque color. Looks pretty good. I think that my brother was crazy for getting this, but it looks ok. Anyways, sweet sweet malty taste. Very smooth actually. A little watery, but weird because the texture is smooth. Not a very pungent aroma, but still decent. Lacks that roast taste that I enjoy. There is a SLIGHT hint of it in the aftertaste, but not enough. Overall, a decent porter. I was surprised that this was at the Total Wine. I have never seen it before. Too thin, and not even nuances in the flavor to be interesting.

500ml bottle. Tick and black in colour, almost engine oil like. Mountainous tan head with big frothy bubbles and burnt toffee and malt notes with a hint of coffee. Thick and silky mouthfeel.

Clear dark red to brownish black color, light brown head. Sweet, raissin, vinous scent. Roasted, vinous taste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
