2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Serving: 500 ml. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a brown color with a light tan head. Metallic aroma at first followed by a weird nuttiness. Cheap cooking sherry and nuts in the flavor. Thin body with average carbonation and a long finish. Ugh. I thought about pouring this one out but powered through it. Not one I would return to though.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pitch Black, Large Tan Head, Decent Spotty Lacing. Faint Tasted Aroma. Sweet Toasted Malt, Chocolate, Light Bitter. Thinner Than anticipated. Major Drawback for me is alcohol taste.Slightly overrated although I also give some extra points for not being another Euro Pale. Iíd Say pass it, there are much better choices...

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: SEP 18, 2013 Solid black with a brown head, this beer looks like an impressive porter. The aroma is burnt and strong on coffee; smells sweeter than it tastes. The taste is good but a bit disappointing, a decent combination of coffee, oatmeal, and subtle caramel, although it seems like a few off-tastes, including plain alcohol, are present. A good fair-priced import porter, not the greatest but still enjoyable.
-PS. I just looked at the bottle and realized this beer is 3 years old... Not sure what impact that may have.

This was joes favorite beer. We had numbers together before he passed away. My entry into the world of Baltic porters. Nice creamy and rich. Pitch black. Slightly roasty bit more caramel and malt. Nice beer.

500 mL bottle. Looks like a porter. Nice little brown head. There is some roast in the aroma, but itís pretty mild. It tastes good - pretty much like youíd expect a Baltic porter to taste, with no extras. Not too sweet, unlike some.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Good stuff. Pours Stygian into the glass, not much of a head. Raw and moderately flavorful, a bit more rough than most Porters Iíve met, but thatís what I like about it. Had it with a leg of lamb and was a nice pairing. Served chilled in a frosted mug.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
I tried at a Russian restaurant in Bogota, when itís poured in the glass whe can see a dark brown beer with a non persistent brown creamy foam head. The taste is quite good being evident the roasted malt flavor. The end is a little bit dry. As some porters canít be enjoyed if the weather starts to be hot so itís better if itís served cold.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours opaque deep brown with a frothy tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, caramel and burnt sugar. Taste - sweet caramel, coffee, cocoa, dried fruits, alcohol is noticeable, a bit sticky, mild bitterness, dry finish. Medium body with a decent carbonation, smooth, good drinkability. Nice beer.
