A traditional dark beer based on old recipes. "Baltika" brews this beer with the best dark and light malts with the addition of superior hop types and a special strain of yeast. Crystal-clear water and the secret touch of "Baltika"’s brewers make this a beer of unsurpassable quality.
The ingredients are water, caramel malt and burnt roasted malt, maltose syrup and hops. 17°

Piana obfita, lekko wymuszona, drobnopęcherzykowa, beżowa, lekko koronkuje. Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzysta, czerwone refleksy. Aromat palonego słodu, lekko alkoholowy. W smaku bardzo alkoholowe, czuć lekko palony słód. Goryczka niska, piwo zostawia kwaśny posmak. W ustach wodniste.

Sample from 16.9oz bottle in pint glass. Appearance: pours a thick cream color head that drops quickly with almost no lacing. Color dark reddish-brown. Aroma: strong roasted barley, chocolate, earthy hops, and a bit of alcohol Mouthfeel: medium and frothy with a dry, almost powdery finish. Flavor: rich roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, earthy and herbal hops. Overall: very nice. The roasted malts blend well with the hops and the alcohol presence is well hidden.

Grainy, slight green aroma coupled with a fairly sweet, roasty character. Smells crisp and well-balanced with a touch of fruit. Very dark. Black. Rich malty sweetness balanced by a crisp, clean ferment followed by dark fruits. I think this is probably what the BJCP sat down with when writing up the definition of a Baltic Porter.

This was more like a schwarzbier than a porter. It poured black with a tan head. The aroma was malty and thick. The body is full and the taste is packed with dried fruit flavors and a bit of a coffee note with an ample bitterness on the end. It’s a bit like a holiday fruit cake. I will drink this beer again.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2016 500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. First Baltic porter I’ve tried. Pours black with a large beige/tan head. Aroma of roasted burnt malts was pretty much all I got, some caramel and dark chocolate too. Taste was pretty much the same. Roasted/burnt finish with some bitterness.

De las cervezas que más me han gustado últimamente. No son fáciles de conseguir en México pero espero que la sigan importando. Aquí no tenemos mucha variedad.

Black color and brown medium head. Aroma is not strong, but I can feel the wood and toasted malt. On the palate it is complex, full and with long finish. Good Porter!

0.5 bottle from Russian Delicacies, a birthday present from lovely Anja. Dark brown, small tan head. Roasty, caramel, raisins. Some sourness, like wine. Thin to medium body. Sweet raisin finish. No hoppiness. Strong caramel character.

Shared my bottle with a few friends at a Labor Day party. Poured a very nice dark brown with tan head. Fluffy head lasted longer than I had expected. Aromas were some chocolate, but the taste fell a bit with some metallic aftertastes.
