A traditional dark beer based on old recipes. "Baltika" brews this beer with the best dark and light malts with the addition of superior hop types and a special strain of yeast. Crystal-clear water and the secret touch of "Baltika"’s brewers make this a beer of unsurpassable quality.
The ingredients are water, caramel malt and burnt roasted malt, maltose syrup and hops. 17°

Big bottle. Served from fridge into tulip. Appearance is pretty dark with a one finger off white soft head. Aroma is malty with notes of raisins. Taste is moderately sweet with very little bitterness. Malty with notes of chocolate and toast. A medium to full bodied beer. Somewhat thicker texture. Average carbonation. Long fairly smooth finish. Unique and enjoyable. Received from friend, therefore no idea on availability.

bottle from paradise market. #1 beer in russia so i had to try it. stuck on some netflix and had one last night. pours almost black with a creamy tan head. aroma of chocolate, caramel, coffee. taste is a nice balance of malts, a wee bit of booze, mocha coffee, licorice, a light burnt bitterness as you keep drinking. no fizz so its real smooth but its slightly thin and oily. not bad at all but nothing wild

Opaca, casi negra. Espuma muy firme. Aroma a malta tostada y café. Malta dulce en el sabor con base de caramelo y chocolate. Poco café también. Licórica, debido a la baja carbonatación sobre todo. En cualquier caso está buena.

From 0,5l bottle, BBD: 31.07.15 Pours clear dark brown liquid, big frothy tan to brown head, fell down quickly, fizzy impression. Aroma: caramel, marzipan, malty, chocolate, coffee, Taste: medium sweet, medium bitter, light to medium sour, malty, chocolate, light espresso, plums, Palate: medium body, slick to oily texture, average to lively carbonation, medium long chocolate roasty finish. Overall: good, relatively drinkable for such big brewery. But still, would appreciate more complex notes, more refined body, lower carbonation, better mouthfeel...

Bottle: Not what I’m looking for when I want a Baltic porter. This is basicaly a dark lager. It wasn’t a nasty flavor, just super light and overly malty. Let me just say how happy I am that I live in America and not St. Petersburg.

6 oz pour from chilled bottle into shaker pint. Black and opaque with a moderate tan head. Medium body. A bit dry with some caramel sweetness. Toffee, nuts, maybe a bit of dark fruit, a little earthy. Pretty good porter.

0,5 l bottle from Klein Rusland in Amersfoort, bottled on 31/10/2014. Clear, very dark red to black with a medium large, creamy, slowly diminishing, tan head. Pleasant aroma of dark chocolate, currant, plums and cherries. Sweetish-fruity taste of dark chocolate, currant, cherries and plums. Short, just slightly bitter, toasted finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice and easy to drink, could still be a bit more intense or full-bodied.
