3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 blankboy (4287) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 1, 2006
Bottle shared with GregClow, jerc & tupalev at our Hotel in Michigan -- courtesy of GregClow. Pours dark brown with an average size semi-lasting tan head. Aroma of dark malt, dark fruit and some alcohol. Sweet malty flavour with some dark fruit and a hint of coffee. Decent body, a touch thin but not enough to detract. Nothing special but it’s enjoyable enough and I liked it.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 ogivlado (4275) - Zagreb, CROATIA - NOV 15, 2006
Bottled(500ml). -Pours a nice black coloured with medium sized brown head. Nice chocolate licorice nose. Roasted malt and coffee in aroma with pleasant chocolate and cocoa notes. Also very fruity. Moderate bitterness in the finish. Despite 7.0%ABV flavor is quite watery.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 DuffMan (4242) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 13, 2007
Clear dark brown with a dense rocky light brown head. Chocolate and raisin aroma. Chocolate is the dominant flavour, rounded out by a sherry-like quality, some rummy fruit-cake tones as well. Medium bodied, medium sweetness, mildly bitter. Flavourful and delicious, but I don’t have the luxury of experience to compare to any other baltics.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Svesse (4215) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAR 29, 2009
(Bottle. Thanks to SaintMatty) Clear, dark brown colour with lasting, frothy, brown head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, chocolate, dark rye bread and brown sugar. Malty, roasted taste with notes of sweet coffee, chocolate, raisins, dark rye bread and sweet hints of molasses. Slightly above medium body, rather sweet. A bit too sweet but still a decent and tasty porter.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mabel (4129) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 22, 2010
[2844-20100418] 500mL bottle. Roasted plum and slight smokiness in the aroma. Clear, black red body with a medium-lasting foamy light tan head. More roast fruit malt in the flavour with a long sweet roast finish. Medium-full body. Quite good in comparison to its brother brews.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 thedm (4116) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - DEC 27, 2005
This bottled brew poured a large sized head of foamy fine to large sized mostly lasting brown colored bubbles that left behind a good lacing. The body contained no visible carbonation, was opaque and dark brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of brown malt dark malt . Its mouth feel is smooth vinous malt with a palate and a smooth aftertaste. Its flavor contained roasted dark malts notes and was tasty. All-in-all very nice brew.
