COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional dark beer based on old recipes. "Baltika" brews this beer with the best dark and light malts with the addition of superior hop types and a special strain of yeast. Crystal-clear water and the secret touch of "Baltika"'s brewers make this a beer of unsurpassable quality.
The ingredients are water, caramel malt and burnt roasted malt, maltose syrup and hops. 17°

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2007 Black color with a medium head. Some sweet malt aroma bordering on the soy sauce range. Also something that is kind of like Lysol. Hmm... that Lysol kinda continues into the flavor. Sweet coffee and malt. Pretty tasty.

Clear chestnut brown with no head. Nice roasty nutty aroma. Medium body with light carbonation. Nice flavors of dark roasted malts with a lightly sweet black licorice taste. Not too bad.

Burned malty nose. Black coloured, brown head which dies quickly. Burned malty taste, moderate bitter. Boring beer.

pours dark brown, beige/mocha head. Aroma is definitely roasted and malty with hints of dark fruits. Flavor, fruity; prune, currants with possibly apple, some brown sugar and malts, light spices. Caramel profile is not dominant but a big part of the mouthfeel with a nice thin hoppy finish.

Bottle pours a dark dark brown, almost black.   Cream colored head is thick but dishwater like.   Large aroma of old raisins with some minor twinges of chocolate.   Also, a bit of a musty smell.   Initial taste is of a very light vinegar, with a touch of roasted malt, a dabble of chocolate, and a creamy smooth alcohol presense.   Mouthfeel is nice, as aformentioned, creamy and smooth.   The finish displays a touch of alcohol, a little bitterness, as well as unsweetened chocolate.   Was hoping to have a bit more to chew on at the end, as the finish seems to dissipate quickly.   Not bad, but this Porter could stand to be a bit heftier on the flavor.

FIzzy head. Very dark beer. Somewhat sour roasted aroma with raisin. Sweet dark bock like. Raisin and coffee flavours. Thin body. Drinkable but overall a little like water and burnt sugar.

Pours almost black with a tall pillowy brown head. Nose is malted with roasted and sugary notes. Very mild and drinkable beer. The tongue is surrounded with flavors like roasted malt, cocoa, fruit(plums?), and a ever so slight wood hint. Velvetly mouthfeel with no lingering bitterness. Nice porter!
