Bottle... Poured a deep, dark brown with amber highlights and a light brown head. Aroma of hazelnuts, and roasted cocoa, malt. Smooth, light palate with a strong smoked character to the flavors. A little bit of alcohol and hop bitterness that balanced the sweet malt tones. Finished almost like a dark lager/bock, malty and sweet with also an added soy sauce character.

UPDATED: APR 12, 2009 Bomber: Black with a medium tan head. Old chocolate aroma, starts lightly sweet and ends sweet with a lingering fruity taste. If it wasn’t for the 7% it would be a great session beer. At this price it is merely a great way to drink for cheap.

Deepest brown black with red tint, nice tan head that faded. Faint aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, and alcohol. Flavor is initially of gentle chocolates, quickly fading into a soft roasted flavor. Nothing really jumps out at you, but it is a decent brew.

bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a dark brown color with a one and a half finger thick light tan head. Aroma is light roasted malt and faint chocolate. Flavor is lightly sweetened caramel malt and light chocolate. Palate is only slightly bitter and a little thin. This beer was a little better than I expected. Worth a try.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Storm (2685) - Amager, DENMARK - MAR 24, 2007
Dark reddish brown colour with a little nice head. Strong aroma of roastedness and alcohol. Also flavour of soft maltness combined with roastedness and alcohol. Ends up very alcoholic and with a touch of chocolate.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Gusler (2655) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - SEP 17, 2003
On the poor ebony in color, the head monstrous in size, spumous in texture, the color a light chocolate, after it erodes a thick and glutinous sheet of lace clings mightily to the glass. Mostly malt in the lightly sweet nose, fresh and clean, the start sweet and malt-laden top is skeletal in feel. Finish is mildly carbonated, hops pleasant in their spiciness, very dry, some what tart, and a drinkable beer, but not really anything to scream about.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 BillKismet (2653) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 1, 2003
Black bodied with a small chocolate head. Nearly divine, plummy, vinous aroma, potent, but artfully balanced. Carmel, plum, and a strong molasses body make this baltic porter a winner. The greatest knock is a nearly cloying alchoholic sweetness resulting from the relative lightness of the body which could use a more robust character to anchor the flavors. An excellent, almost insurpassable, dessert beer. Sweet and tasty--though becomes almost unbearably sweet towards the end with a strong banana component. Best if enjoyed in small glasses.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2009 Dark brown, almost black in colour with a tan head. Vinous, slightly spicy aroma with some chocolate. Slightly sour taste with chocolate and raisins. Excellent.
