COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional dark beer based on old recipes. "Baltika" brews this beer with the best dark and light malts with the addition of superior hop types and a special strain of yeast. Crystal-clear water and the secret touch of "Baltika"'s brewers make this a beer of unsurpassable quality.
The ingredients are water, caramel malt and burnt roasted malt, maltose syrup and hops. 17°

Bottle shared by phaleslu, Thanks Peter! Pours a dark brown with a small tan head. Notes of roasted malts, malty gross coffee, malt balls, dark fruits, earth, and grain. Some light semen notes. Something about this was a little offputting.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2006 Sweet malts and a bit of molasses, but also something adjuncty in the smell. Deep black with a three finger thick head. Looked lovely in a tulip glass. Nice steady release of gas and the head is as creamy and fluffy as you could ever hope for. Burnt dates is the dominant flavor with ample alcohol notes. It’s not very big flavor wise even though burnt flavors tend to dominate a palate this one does not. It feels so good though and looks so perfect you want to fogive the lack of big flavor.

very dark pour with a frothy tan head. Aroma of smoke, and dark soy sauce, and roastd malt. Flavor is quite smoky, and roasty with more of the soy. Not bad, but not great.

Bottle. Nice deep dark brown in color with a tan head. Clean tasting and malty. Not too much malt thought, very faint. Dry in finish. Decent beer.
