3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Radek Kliber (5171) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JUL 6, 2003
Initial big head but later all was left was big bubble rings . Aroma is the strongest side of this beer, from sweet apple-orange fruits followed by chocolate and ending with dark malt. Heavy, rich malt, burned roastiness. Interesting approach to Baltic porter style...
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20 Ernest (5113) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - APR 2, 2002
UPDATED: AUG 8, 2007 Bottle (03/24/07 production). Head is initially average to large, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting. Body is dark brown to black. Aroma is moderately malty (roasted/burnt grain, husks, dark chocolate), with a note of plastic. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, husky. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Fairly grainy and otherwise crude, but not too bad. Nice appearance and mouthfeel.

Malty aroma. Sweet flavour with a slight bitterness in the finish. Too thin.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JPDIPSO (4957) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 17, 2003
Dark brown color with a light chocolate colored near fizzy head. Earthy grains and light fruit in the aroma. Fortified light wine, sorghum, and malt mixture. I envision this being reduced and poured over corn bread.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BBB63 (4939) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - JUL 4, 2003
Nearly opaque, tint of brown. Almost no head. Full bodied. Heavy malty aroma of roasted malt, molasses, coffee, and semisweet chocolate. Also detected a light hoppy tone of flowers and pine, smoke, vanilla, and banana hints too. Heavy sweetness on the initial taste with coffee and molasses tones, tastes like some English strong ales I have without the fruitiness. Creamy and soft mouthfeel, moderate alcohol feel. A respectable porter. Slightly recommended.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 shrubber85 (4843) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUL 3, 2005
Bottle. Molasses and chocolate malt aroma. Dark black-brown colow with no head. Molasses and walnut flavor - slightly bitter finish. Tasty - stands up well to other porters but can’t really expound as this was my first beer in this style.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2009 Bottled at Olletorn in Tallinn on April 10, 2009 Had a sample from FatPhil or SaintMatty, didn’t write down which one, but they were both generous, so ;) Clear dark red to brownish black color, light brown head. Sweet, raissin, vinous scent. Roasted, vinous taste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
