This is a baltic porter as a baltic porter should look, smell and taste. Deeply reed color, fine brown foam. A bit unbalanced aroma but fine bouquet. Taste a bit edgy but fine with food and fine to sip infront of the logfire.

Right off the bat....Waaay underrated! Good stuff for sure. Deep black, creamy lasting tan head. Nose is full of golden raisins, plums, malted milk chocolate, caramel, anise, and a hint of roasted coffee. Has something about it that even says Belgian. Flavor almost matches to a T, but there is a bit of brown sugar and rum noted as well. Medium to full-bodied, silky, somewhat vinous, chocolate coffee finish. You go Russia!

A magnificent pour ... with a cascading mountain of a head over a dark brown liquid slighly thinner than motor oil. The aroma is stark ... sweet and sugary. After the nose, I expected the flavors to be more offending. Instead it’s smooth and inviting, lightly sweet, with notes of smoke, yeast, maybe a little coffee.

Wow, what a little suprise we have here. This has to be the jewel in this brewery’s rusty crown. A chocolatey aroma. The apperance is black with a small beige head. A very rich flavor with some cappucino and chocolate. Not too sweet its very well balanced. Dont be scared away by the price or the source, this is a must try.

This bottled brew poured a large sized head of foamy fine to large sized mostly lasting brown colored bubbles that left behind a good lacing. The body contained no visible carbonation, was opaque and dark brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of brown malt dark malt . Its mouth feel is smooth vinous malt with a palate and a smooth aftertaste. Its flavor contained roasted dark malts notes and was tasty. All-in-all very nice brew.

One of my favorite porters yet. A great bite to this porter that differentiates it from a stout (imperial). Baltika’s other beers have not impressed me, but this one is fantastic. A bit hoppy and crisp, yet at the same time forceful and full. Fantastic porter, highly recommended.

(Bottle at Delirium Cafe, Brussels) Dark amber, almost black. Small brownish head. Aroma from grapes, vanilla, figs and some chocolate. Malty chocolate flavor with licorice. Some bitterness in the finish. Nicely balanced.
