COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional dark beer based on old recipes. "Baltika" brews this beer with the best dark and light malts with the addition of superior hop types and a special strain of yeast. Crystal-clear water and the secret touch of "Baltika"'s brewers make this a beer of unsurpassable quality.
The ingredients are water, caramel malt and burnt roasted malt, maltose syrup and hops. 17°

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2005 Bottled. Light roasted coffee aroma. Black color, small light brown head, good lace. Light sweet, not strong in flavors but very nice roasted chocolat and coffee beans, medium body.

Pretty damn good porter.. although it’s my first Baltic porter so I don’t have much experience with the style. Nice roasted flavor and body. Big brown head. Could drink a few of these..

I thought this was a pretty darn good porter. It had a nice roasty taste. Molasses and coffee. Very thick. A little too sweet. Not all that complex.

Well here ya go - this has got to be the very best 99 cent bottle of Russian beer that I've bought! Black body topped with a generous cocoa head. Great palate - seemed like I was drinking a lightly carbonated chocolate milk mixed with some strong espresso. Also some plum cherry in the taste.

Pours dark. Big tan head, nice lacing. Aroma is pretty straightforward, there’s malt in there and it’s fairly sweet. Flavor is quite nice, a little sweet, but it has some vinous notes and hides it’s alcohol (lower, granted) better than Okocim. Very enjoyable.

Initial big head but later all was left was big bubble rings . Aroma is the strongest side of this beer, from sweet apple-orange fruits followed by chocolate and ending with dark malt. Heavy, rich malt, burned roastiness. Interesting approach to Baltic porter style...

Deep black color, short brown head. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee, bready. Thick creamy body and a malty coffee taste. Nicely balanced with a creamy mouthfeel.
