Bottle. Moderate roasted malts, grassy hops and doughy yeast aromas up front with ruby port and vanilla in the background. Large, light brown, rocky head with great lacing that hung around for the whole glass, color is black in poor lighting. Flavor starts and finishes moderately sweet. Medium bodied, creamy texture with lively carbonation and a slight metallic finish. A flavorful beer with some really nice aromas.

Aroma of rich milk chocolate, campfire wood, roasted coffee and molasses. Taste is smooth, creamy with flavors of rich dark coffee, molasses, vanilla and bittersweet dark chocolate. Finish is slightly metallic semi-sweet with a roasted coffee/molasses aftertaste that lingers around after the finish.

500ml. Bottle
Different bottle than in picture. Blue and black label with a long neck.
Baltika 6 poured black with a 1+ finger tan creamy head. Opaque except when held to the light there are some mahogany highlights around the sides and bottom of the glass.
Smell is a lot different than I thought it was going to be for whatever reason. It smells of molasses, dark fruits (plum) and some dark roasted malts. The molasses comes through the strongest. Smells pretty good.
The taste is good. I thought it may have been to sweet from the smell but it’s not. The taste comes through as dark fruits up front gollowed by roasted malts. A touch of sweetness follows at the end with a nice aftertaste. Slight bitterness even things out nicely. The sweetness increases as the beer warms.
Mouthfeel is good on here as well. It’s got a medium-heavy body that coats nicely. Slick feeling as I sip. Coats my throat. Smooth.
Drinkability is above average. It would be a little higher except for the sweetness. A couple of these would be more than enough.

Considering the 7 %, it could’ve had a stronger taste... But regardless of that it’s a good porter.
