bottle. heard some good things about this beer. but tasting it was a "bitter" dissapointment. the bitterness did not let any flavour come out. aroma was non existent. aftertaste was agreeable.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bune noire, mousse marron claire bien persistante.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Deep brown color, little sweet aroma, but taste is empty and plain, low body, not enough malt in taste.
Its way too overrated. Maybe longtime ago it was good baltic porter but now its not.

By far their best offering! This porter actually goes down like a stout and definitely has the mouthfeel of one. Very rich and roasty!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear, very dark, ruby brown with a good 1/2" tan head cover, swirls and sheets of lace. Nice aroma of sweet malt. Tasted is lightly toasted malt that becomes more malty in the palate, adding light bittering in a nice long finish that isn’t finished until a litlle caramel seeps back in. A traditional brew, but a solid brew. Above the other Baltika offerings.

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2014 "Must try beer", even if you are not a fan of the monster beer companies. Very complex, almost black. The only one beer with the taste of the sea and that is exactly the taste of some north sea. Let us say: Baltic Sea.

"full flavored, roasted, slightly sweet aroma. the slightly higher abv lends a nice, full body to this very tasty brew. recommended for a porter with a kick."
