A- Upon first look this brew is a deep black, when held up to the light a dark maroon color is seen. Semi-thick brown head which fades quickly leaving little to no lacing
S- Coffee, Sweet Dark fruits... I could swear I smell a hint of grapes.
T- Starts with very little taste finishes strong. Coffee, strange semi sweet fruit taste that doesnt sit very well.
M- very little carbonation, fairly thick.
D- I find this one hard to drink. It doesn’t taste particularly strong but just rubs me the wrong way mouthfeel and taste wise.

Jul 23, 2008 Black with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with hard roasted malt, caramel, coffee, liquerice and smoke. Somewhat dry flavor with hard roasted malt, liquerice, coffee and alcohol notes. Dry finish.

Jul 22, 2008 I’ve just poured a 22oz bottle into my big beer glass, and I must say, I wasn’t expecting this to be that good, but I was surprised. Very nice chocalatey aroma with a flavor to match. Also has some sweetness to it. Very nice!

Jul 17, 2008 Black with hints of red. Mostly diminishing light brown foamy head. Smells of cookie and molasses. Initially sweet taste with a slight alcohol finish.
Light bodied almost watery mouthfeel. Drinkable but probably won’t go out of my way to buy again.

Jul 16, 2008 almost blac, with tiny cafe au lait head. nice strong notes of burned malt, liqourice and dark chocolate. Sweet flavour and short bitter and dry finish. Well balanced.

Jul 12, 2008 Bottle from Market Street Wineshop Downtown Charlottesville. Reddish brown pour with a large head. Good retention and alcing. Big roasted malt aroma with caramel notes. Sweet, fruity and sligtly bitter taste. The roasted malt comes through as well. Thick mouthfeel.
