Bright straw color with strong activity. Foamy white sparkly 3 finger head lasting around 5 minutes with average legs. Aromas and flavors of grains, citrus, corn, herbal spices. Faint grainy, skunky, and metallic smell. Sweet grainy, lemony, and apple taste with slightly bitter hoppy grassy feel. Almost medium body with prickly carbonation. Faint finish of medium length ending with herbal spicy smoky bitter saaz feel lingering on the tongue creating dryness. Overall a poor craft with good freshness that is destroyed by a dry finish, and faint flavors that doesn’t taste very good.

Bottle at Pishka, Berlin - Pale yellow with small head. Malty, sweetish, wet cardboard, grass, raisins. not-so-fresh mouthfeel. Okay for dinner.

It’s pale lager corn syrup all the way from Russia to home bargains Rochdale for a bottle of glorified Budweiser ok.

(Can) Pours clear golden yellow with reasonable white head. Subtle mixed aroma: hints of grass, candy, bread and wet cardboard. Medium body with full carbonation. Odd taste. Initial vegetable taste gives way to light malty sweetness, with some rather sharp bitterness that builds through the palate but strangely subsides for a long finish of persistent candy sweetness. Not good, a little odd, but certainly drinkable.

Goodness me, what on earth is this stinker? Well, an acquaintance brought this over and he didn’t know any better. Still, I am one to be very much looking in the mouth of a gift horse.

Bottle. Wet paper, lemon, biscuit malt, and straw aroma. Pale yellow with large white head. Lightly sweet lemon, biscuit malt and mildly bitter dry grass flavor. Decent body. Not bad.

Baltika 7 Export Lager has a thick, white head, a clear, golden appearance, strong bubble streams, and no lacing left behind. The aroma is of pungent, fairly intense, biscuity malt and grassy hop oils. Taste is a bit bold- sweet, biscuit and grassy hops, with a background spice (think white pepper). Mouthfeel is medium, and Baltika 7 Export Lager finishes crisp and interesting. RJT

Bottiglia.
