sampled from 16.9oz bottle in pint glass Appearance: pours a sudsy 2" white head that drops quickly with a tiny bit of lacing. Color is clear pale yellow with moderate streaming bubbles. Aroma: grain husks, white bread dough, grassy hops Mouthfeel: light and fairly crisp with a fairly dry finish. Flavor: lightly toasted barley, corn husks, lemon and grassy hops. Overall: good, but their are plenty of better Euro Pale Lagers available.

500 ml bottle into lager glass, best before 5/21/2015. Pours crystal clear bright golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Outstanding appearance. Aromas of cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, biscuit, light honey, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness after the finish, and very clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast ester notes present. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, fairly creamy/grainy/sticky, and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish as expected of 5.4%. Overall this is a nice Dortmunder style. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and clean to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

UPDATED: MAY 24, 2016 Re-rate May 2016: Pretty much as originally rated. Clear pale yellow colour, one finger soapy white head. Aroma of pale malt, hops, grass, mildly skunked from the green bottle, sulphur, dough. Taste of some pale malt, grassy hops, light sweetness, barely any bitterness. Extremely heavy carbonation on the pour, bubbles roaring up the glass. Thin watery texture. Yeah it’s pretty standard lager this one.

500ml bottle from Tesco. Clear pale yellow colour with minimal white head. Light aroma of malt and hops. Light malt flavour but watery, very light bitterness. Standard lager. 17th August 2013.
