Golden colour. Sweet grain and some malt to the nose. Pleasant that it’s not as sweet tasting as other Russian beers I’ve tried. Easy to drink, and probably the Russian beer I will prefer a hot day sitting on the Dvina Embankment to accompany my shaslyk. Sampeled at the Superpower beer session part i in Tromsø 13.01.09. Thanks to Konstantin for bringing the 500ml can from Archangel.

All the way from Russia in a green bottle and it wasn’t skunked. Nice work, Russia! Too bad the beer is piss poor.

Bottle. Pours a a pale golden body with a thin white head. Grainy with a dry malty body, thin sweet with a lightly dank malt finish. Vegetative with a corn husk finish. Junk.

Light flavors but pretty good refreshing beer. Not to big on flavor though. I think of it as a more balanced refined stella with less of a grassy flavor and a big of uniqueness. Good if you want a watery beer that had some effort put into it.

Bottle from Ricoh Tesco, Cov. Piss pale with snowy, receding froth. Actually a pretty decent grassy sweet aroma with biscuit, honey, Dolly Mixtures. Pencilly Saaz-type hops to the fore, clean biscuity and floury elastic notes, some sweetcorn jamminess. A bit sickly and coniferous in that cheap papery way of a lot of European lagers; dunks of envelope and Flying Saucer, but still way better than expected. Ends up drinking clean and Germanic like a sweet Munich lager, or Oktoberfest, even. Light yards from the plughole.

169 oz. mini-keg. Pours a clear golden color with a substantial white head that lasts throughout and leaves excellent lacing on the glass. Sweet grain aroma. Flavor mirrors the aroma with a sweet malty grain-like taste. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Slightly cloying finish.

Basically it’s just a stepped up version of the 5. Same vegetative nose, showing a little caramel, and slight soapy hop note. Flavor is still nothing to write home about. Pretty basic but a much fuller, rounder mouthfeel than it’s little brother.

Bottle with a pull tab. Pours a very pale straw-colored gold color. Weak aroma of hops, and pretty much as your average lager would smell like. Not a whole lot going on flavor-wise; weak maltiness, little hop presence, and pretty thin. A good pick on a hot day, I guess. Thanks Olga!
