Bottle courtesy of and shared with heavy (thanks!)
Medium to big white head, went at a medium pace. Yellow-golden body. Worst of the four Baltikas we’ve had today. Completely watery, weak eggy maltiness, weak background hoppy bitterness. Again, not offensive, just blah. What’s the point of making 4 dull lagers, each only marginally different from the other? No, really, what? To go through all the existing terminology? Gotta catch all the "types". Pale, gold, export, classic... you could switch the names and no one would really notice.

Bottle pours a pale golden color with a frothy white head. Sweet aroma consists of fruit with some malt. Somewhat dry with a sweet aftertaste but not much overall flavor. Not a fan of this one.

Russo (1779) - Hemhofen, Baden-Württemberg, GERMANY - FEB 14, 2008
Canned in St. Petersburg. Pale yellow color, thin white head. Aroma is malty and the same to the flavor, good for hot day, so refreshing. Low bitterness. Mouthfeel is refreshing ans a little bit seet.

Embrouille (2831) - SWITZERLAND - FEB 7, 2008
Bottled 33cl. It pours a golden beer with an average white head. The nose is malty with hints of apples, burnt tyres, lemon and almonds. The taste is of pale malts, apples and marzipan. Slightly oily. Rather sweet with a good hop character. Nicely biscuity. Interesting finish with a surprising hint of licorice. Slightly peppery.

Bottle bought in Riga. Pours a pale golden colour. Bit sweet aroma of some hops and malt. Rather thin mouthfeel. The flavour is weak with some hops, bit of malt and grains. A rather watery beer.

Bottled. Pale, yellow colour with a small white head. Very little aroma, just slight corn/grain. Just an average euro lager, maybe slightly sweet but I didn’t get the harsh flavours like other raters. Not bad, but far from great.

Another corn based cheap and nasty tasting eastern european beer. These all taste the same, though this is marginally better than most. Corn and metallic alcohol predominate.

Bottle. Pours hazy corn gold, white head. Aroma is malt, corn syrup, barn floor. Flavor is the same with ketchup. Slightly watery and unpalatable at the same time. The barn floor flavor lasts for a while, unfortunately. I think I’ll christen the kitchen sink with this beer.

Thanks to ghawener. Drank it en El Flor. Not very different from No. 5. Skunky, pale, light and not very good.

500ml tin. Yellow, almost no head. Sweet, perhaps maizy aroma, but very nondescript. First taste carries some alcohol on swallowing, but on the whole that doesn’t dominate the taste, and is accompanied by a very gentle (yes, that means incipid) malty taste. I did get a hint of something like honey, but I think it might have been maize. Never seen a hop, which is good, as there’ll no nasty acrid sensation when you drink it unlike some lagers.
