50cl can bb?, drank in accompaniment to Polina Gagarina’s snow bunny rendition of a Russian peacekeeping mission at Eurosong 2015. Metallic corn and powdered starch clogging the nose, old grass piecing through - mercifully the fridge had this chilled at near-Vodka temp. Tastes like an ice water diluted invasion of a Eurolager: sweet corn husks, remnants of coarser bittering hops, starchy pancake, spent apple peel, hollowcore emptiness.

Yellow color beer with a small white head that goes away quickly. Aroma is malty and grainy with straw and corn notes. Flavor is sweet with some bitterness and acid citric notes. Body is watery and carbonation is low. Dry sticky end.

From 0,5l bottle, BBD: 14.09.15 Pours crystal clear pale yellow, almost piss like liquid, medium creamy white head, fell down quickly, Aroma: grainy, syrupy, empty, watery, Taste: light to medium sweet, light bitter, light to medium sour, watery, grainy, malty, some syrup sweetness, dull bitterness, some strange off taste (often present in Ukrainian and Russian eurolagers) - something like chemical taste or some rather sweet malty unpleasent artificial bitter taste? Palate: light body, slick texture, lively to fizzy carbonation, abrupt grainy dull bitter finish, Overall: not drinkable, did not enjoyed.

500 ml. Can. Pale straw gold color. Little head to speak of. Aroma is of corn syrup and cardboard. Ugh, light corny sweet flavor has little redeeming value. No body or hop character. Pathetically inept. Avoid this at all costs.

Towey1989 (399) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - APR 9, 2015
Bottle at The Wye Valley House, Buxton (JDW) Pours a clear golden colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of sweet grain, cereal, maize, bread and a slight citrus hint. Taste of sweet grain, cereal, slight vegetable, bread and floral hops. Light bodied and fizzy carbonation. A crisp bitterness in the finish. A decent lager, sweet to begin with and a nice, clean bitterness to end.

TATE (352) - Lubec, Maine, USA - MAR 15, 2015
Can. Pours a gold color with a thin white head and lots of carbonation. Vegetable aroma. No taste at the beginning ending with some cardboard and more hop bite than I was expecting. Super carbonated. This taste like any other cheap beer. Just wanted to tick off my first (and maybe last) beer from Russia.

Tall 0,5 l bottle. Penetrative straw with citrus on the nose. Clear golden with a big white head in the glass. Taste starts like dishing soap, later a little bit malt with low bitterness. Thin structure. High carbonated. Not recommended.

That Russian beer can taste well is shown thru this international pale lager type beer. This is truly a good character beer of the drinkable sort. I was surprised that the ratio of bitterness and drinkability works so well.
