DATE TASTED: April 19, 2015... GLASSWARE: Weihenstephaner weizen... OCCASION: the Cavs (again) begin their journey to a title... APPEARANCE: cloudy, sallow yellow body with bubble that lazily, sporadically float; mountainous foams of white head spill over the glass--quite alive! tracings leave spore-like dots in their wake!... AROMA: heavy banana dominates; clove, pepper and mowed hay--the standard weizen array... PALATE: a surprisingly thin, even profile, especially for an "unfiltered" beer; easily drinkable and equally refreshing... TASTE: the banana is not as pronounced as the scent suggests, but beyond the fruit, subtle pepper; not much beyond these two soft offerings... OVERALL: Having tried just about every single-digit Baltika profile, this offering is somewhere in the middle--accurate to its genre but not memorable; a good pairing with warm weather or an after-workout refresher...

W smaku i aromacie calkiem niezle.

Pours an extremely lovely head, typical of a wheat beer. Aroma is gentle and sweet. Appearance is hazy gold, swirling in the glass and looking very delicious. Taste is smooth and refreshing without the bloaty bubbly overtones of other hefeweizens. A very good beer in large or small samplings. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml bottle into pint glass. Love the numbering system (I’ll have a 4 and a 6 thanks!). Beautiful sweet banana notes on the nose. Cloudy pineapple juice appearance. Big lasting white head. Slightly spritzy mouthfeel followed by nice short bitter/banana ending. Not creamy enough for me but very good.

Very sweet with some wheat in the background. Nothing off-putting in the slightest with this stuff. Maybe a bit too sweet? Very drinkable. Taste of wheat, hay, and some fruity sweetness. Not bad at all. My favorite of the Baltika’s I have tried thus far.
