Bottle. Medium white head that became mostly diminishing, sparse lacing, fine-medium sized bubbles, carbonated, slightly hazy, and a straw yellow hue. Aroma and flavor were malty. Tingly mouthfeel. Medium body.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours pale yellow with a white head. Aroma and taste are non-offensive. Very easy to drink. If you’re looking to get hammered fast, this is the way to do it.

Bottled (BB 10/2005)
Pale yellow, small white head. Malty nose, light alcohol, kind of harsh but not unpleasant. Malty, a bit sweet, medium-bodied with a strong alcoholic touch. Anyhow tasty and clean European strong lager.

Looks like I will be one of the few that likes this one. But this style, what I call a Strong Continental Lager is my guilty pleasure. This was yummy in all the wrong ways!!

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pale yellow. Big, bubbly, white head. Looks like plenty of carbonation. Macro appearance. Macro taste at first, but smoothes out rather quickly. Malt, alcohol, and lightly sweet corn aroma. Relatively smooth malt liquor and alcohol flavor. Easy drinking, not much to it, but definitely worth the $2/pint bottle price tag.

History tells us that this beer was brewed for the Czars, and Czar Nicholas I in particular favored this recipe, so it is known by many as an Imperial Malt Liquor. Well, no. But the 8% really does start to hit you a bit. I had a few gulps of this before I started into a spicy guacamole quesadilla, and it was a good compliment to that food, giving a sweet adjunct edge to the grainy smoothness and moderate carbonation. Oh, and it’s yellow, pale yellow. Relatively easy drinking, and hey, it has that exotic Russian thing going for it. You can always try telling your friends about the amazing history of this beer with the Czars....

0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
bottle. pours a clear yellow that is very much like a standard macro, but with a larger fluffed white head. smells of corn and pity.rough rotten plant matter taste that lingers with some garbage and 2 dollar whore vomitin the aftertaste. an odd tang resonates on my tongue like a nine volt battery was stuck to it. the sweetness that is inherent in this is just mauled by the disease like presence of the corn and alcohol . this is bad, even for a malt liquor this is bad. i don’t know why i hate myself so much, but i do, and i will drink thge whole damn bottle before i sleep. of course i might sleep because i drank the whole damn bottle. this is a bad beer.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear, light gold appearance with a white, average size head. Muted aroma dominated by vegatables. Slightly sweet taste with not much else going on in that department. Not skunked while chilled, but the last taste as it warmed a bit signaled trouble. Alcohol packed a bit of a punch as it finished. Fortunately, it was inexpensive.
