A strong lager beer with a taste close to classic lager varieties. The flavor is light and there is a suggestion of malt, together with sweetish notes and mild hops bitterness.
Ingredients: water, light barley malt, maltose syrup and hops.

From Russia with love literally! Baltika #9 actually stronger at 8 ABV than the #6 Baltika porter with a 7% ABV. Kind of a hybrid that is kinda different initially tasting then finishes with a bock like sweet finish. Also kinda tasted like a milder version of the baltika #9 for sweetness which is oddly appealing. pretty sweet taste for a lager but definitely better than macro brews. Available at Bevmo for $2.49 a bottle a descent price. Only real down note kinda lingering headache from cheaper sweet additives.

Golden yellow, minimal white head. Mild fruity aroma with some orange. Quite nice taste with slight sweetness. Soft mouthfeel, mild carbonation. Pretty good for the style.

Aroma of honey and corn syrup. Pours clear gold with a decent soapy white head that leaves lacing. Flavor is syrupy sweet, not enough balance, very grainy and sweet. Has a nice alcohol kick, some Russian hooch for your gullet. Itís better than most American macros, at least itís neither a dirty fermentation nor dominated by adjunct grains. Cloyingly sweet, like a corn syrup bomb, donít think I will repeat.

Bottle - light golden with a fizzy white head that fades to nothing. Aroma of honey, malt, toasty malt and a touch of fruit. Taste is syrup and treacle followed by some roasty malt and light bitterness. Slightly warming - a bit watery. Medium body, strong carbonation. Best of the Baltikas that Iíve had, surprisingly.

Clear golden colour. Aroma has a bit of sweet malt and is slightly metallic. Tastes like a typical strong lager. Offers very little flavour, just a warming alcoholic sensation.

500 mL bottle into a pint glass. Clear, golden, gassy with a good foamy head. The aroma is ok, malty with plenty of hop, but not very adventurous. Malty, bitter, but surprisingly smooth for the strength. Has a cereal, Shreddies like aftertaste. Not too considering but Iím not going to be insisting my friends try it.

Bottle at home from notes 2011. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor had sweet grainy malt, corn, skunky notes, faded hops, a hint of floral, very mild bitterness, dry finish. Not very good.

Aroma: Sweet and corn puffy with a whiff of something that almost reminds me of a pear liquer. Appearance: Royal gold with a white head that settles into a bubbly ring. Flavor: Spirit-like, and fruitier than any lager should be with some weird pear esters; corn sweetness is there, but itís not unpalatable. Alcohol lets itís Russian flag fly. Palate: Full body, thick texture, soft carbonation, long finish. Overall: Hard to rate this by the numbers; itís a pretty poor lager overall, but is pretty cheap and fills your need for something a little more stiff. And, really, I didnít find myself saying "this is terrible" but rather "I like this more than I want to admit." My rating reflects the latter.
