3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
It was very fresh and foamy, with shining straw-colored body. Yes it was a dynamite, but very pleasant alcoholic dynamite, not harsh at all.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Very very light in colour, with a white head. Almost no aroma, but some detectable metallic smell. Somewhat sweet taste, but thats about it...Nothing more than a flavourless, colourless bottle of russian water....with eight percent alcohol squeezed in somehow!

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
After the endless stream of poor South American lagers I've been enduring, I jumped at the opportunity to taste this poor Russian malt liquor. From the moment I cracked the seal and was assaulted by the ferocious aroma, I could tell I was in for an extra ordinary experience. The sweetness, the alcohol and the adjunct flavours join forces to abuse your senses, leaving you defiled with a sweet warm sensation in your throat and that terrible baltic lager aroma swirling through your nostrils. Despite being worlds apart, this can of swill is equally capable of offending the senses as anything produced in Latin America.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
A very light yellow beer with almost no head. A light sweet aroma. The flavor is strong alcohol right from the beginning with a pretty sweet experience afterward and then ending suddenly - no bitterness to wrap of the flavor. Not a very pleasant example of a Barley Wine/Malt Liquor.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Had from bottle 01/17/03
Pours with very little head, a light yellow color with a hint of brown and good carbonation. Initial aroma is malty with a tinge of alcohol. The taste is definitely malty with alcohol and slightly bitter. Not that good of a beer - perhaps if you've got no vodka lying around, this beer could warm you up with the 8% ABV, but if you want taste, this is not the beer to have.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Very light gold color. Small head. Aroma is slightly malty and sweet. Its very sweet, lots of corn added?. The corn flavor is balanced by a strong alcohol flavor. No hops to speak of, yet there is some bitterness whose origin I don’t really want to know. This stuff is really awful. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is chemical and bitter.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Smell is like a bad pilsener; hoppy and skunky. Initially large head, disappears quickly. Clear golden colour. taste is pilsenerlike, but more sweet and more malts, bit fruity perhaps. Alchololic, moderate bitter palate.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pffff. Clear yellow color. Head is initially large, but diminished within a couple of seconds to completely nothing. Aroma is made of hops, straw, hay, what is it horseblanket? Smells like filthy horses. No alcoholic aroma though. Taste is quite pilsener like, bad pilsener i must say. Palate becomes more alcoholic, dry and bitter. It can avoid the drain pour, but only by a small fraction...

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
I can’t rememeber why or when I picked this up because I don’t drink malt liquors. Pale straw, transluscent. Pilsner like aroma with heavy alcohol emphasis. Extremely sweet bubble gum and alcoholic palate, just burns slightly in the finish. Would probably do the job on a cold night playing russian roulette in St. Petersburg.
